I honestly don't like him in any season, so I'm going to have to come back to this later when I feel like deciding which season he's the least annoying and the least boring in.

I liked him when he was a villain. I didn't think he was very effective (easy to manipulate + no magic isn't exactly the best combination for villainy lbr), but he had a good backstory and was interesting, especially in his feud with Rumple. I haven't liked him since they tried to make him a hero though.

I didn't like him much in s2, ADORED HIM in 3 and 4 and I liked him in 5 and 6 but it was like Emma, everything was made to show that Hook is the best and most selfless, I preferred him with flaws.

I preferred him as A Villain and when Emma's heart belonged to Baelfire and Not Him.

Only season I liked him in. I'm with louisajane.
