LOL, most people would think it's pathetic how much I talk to my dog. I am always asking her if she "wants to go bye bye" or if she "wants a treat". My dog understands stuff like "bye bye", "treat", "hungery", "food", "water", "home","bath", "Dutch Brothers" LOL. My favorite is "kill" whenever someone knocks on the door or comes over, we say "kill" and she barks like crazy.

My dog actually understands some words. He understands "dinner", commands (sit, stay, ect), and will FREAK OUT if you say "Mommy" or "Mama" when my mom isn't home. He'll run to the door and start barking 'cause he thinks she's coming home xP

My dog knows more about my life than my family does. lol
And he understands things like "newspaper" and "dinner time" and "go for a walk." He also knows when we're talking about him because his tail starts wagging during the conversation. :)

^ Yes my dog does too. Whenever we are talking about her and she hears us say her name or something she understands we are talking about her.

I don't have any pets, but there is a cat in my village that we let into our house and feed, so I talk to him and some other cats in the neighborhood, in the way Mermaid-Tail mentioned.
And my friends do laugh at me sometimes, because when I see a cat on the sreet, I start saying things like "what a cute kitty you are" and stuff. :)

*cooing in a sweet voice* "Bailey!!! You're so fat! If you get any fatter you'll explode!"

"Zoey! Why are you so stupid?? You're an idiot!" but I say it with a very nice tone lol

honestly who doesn't, i speak to my cat Lucy all the time xD, though she understand the word 'food' and 'bath' xD, and sense when i'm angry or happy.

I'm sure he understands me. He's smartest cat ever ;)

Of course they understand me. My dog is awesome, and my parrots understood whenever I told them to shut up because they were waking me in 5 a.m. I miss them very much. Also, I talked with them about my problems, it's much better than talking with people

Yep, I talk to my dog and cat all the time, although I talk to my dog more because my cat likes to be alone. I barely talk to my hermit crabs though.

Um, I also sometimes think that my dog may be an Animagus. Like, from Harry Potter. Where a person is transformed into an animal.. like Peter Pettigrew. O_O

^^ I always talk to my dog Kin. She understands me. If I am sad or have problems I talk to her and then I feel better.

My dog understands a lot of words and knows what I'm saying most of the time :)

Mostly during winter when my dog gets to come inside because it's so cold I always sneak downstairs I pet her and talk to her than when I leave to go back to my room I say "Goodnight Shadow, I'll see you in the morning. I love you!"

lol, Tis a weakness. I live near NO ONE and the only girl I'm friends with is my 7 year old sister. Sad huh :( Yeah, and my best friend when I'm at home is my puppy, Bubbles. I talk to her 24/7

I always have a feeling my guinea pig understands what I talk to her.

My cat understands my tone of voice, though!
