"So, you're my... half-brother?"
"In a twisted sort of way, yeah."

"Police, open up!" Detective Lake banged on the door, this time with even más force than the time before. "Mr.Neferet, we have a buscar warrant for your apartment!" Detective Watson added.
"Bella, tu take the back in case he tries to run. I got the front."
"Got it." She pulled out her pistol and quickly sprinted around the building.
"Mr. Neferet, this is your final warning. Open up the door, o we will for you!" And with no response, he pulled out his pistol and shot the handle of the door; then kicking it down. There was an eerie silence filling the building. "Mr. Neferet?" The detective took a step inside the apartment.
"Adam, tu in?"
"Yeah, but I'm not seeing anything."
"Well, Neferet was supposed to be on house arrest. It shouldn't be that hard to find him..."
"Just wait for a few más minutes. If it seems clear I'll noti-" There was a crash, then static.
"Adam?!"
There was no reply.
"Watson to Lake, check?"
Still no reply.
She threw down the walkie-talkie in frustration. "Screw it," she muttered, and tightly grasped her wrist to her chest before slamming her elbow into the window on the back door. It shattered, giving her enough room to slide her arm and unlock the door from the inside.
"Adam? Adam, where are you?"
Bella ran up the wooden staircase, still keeping her finger firmly on the trigger of her pistol. Before she could reach the top, though, the loud bang of a gunshot rang out from the segundo floor. She sprinted, skipping several steps at a time, following the sound from the gunshot.
A segundo gunshot rang out.
The library, bedrooms, and lounge were all empty. And the detectives worry steadily increased as she approached the last remaining room, the office. "Please be okay, please be okay!" She whispered, placing her foot on the door and gripping her gun so much so her knuckles turned white.
"Police!" She yelled, kicking down the door.
