I've chosen half ( they have some things in common ) because it's getting pretty annoying for me at least to always watch movies for example where the protagonists are totally different and by magic they fall in love and live happily ever after. I don't say IT CAN'T be possible but c'mon it's really becoming a cliche. I don't really believe that this kind of 'magic' just explodes like that. But anyway 'Peas in a pod' hmm I think that this would be too boring because for a relationship to work you have to have some things that are only yours and that you can do alone. If not, you can easily become bored with your partner because you are always together doing always the same things. So, I chosed half because I think that in order to really fall in love (possibly forever ) you have to have some things in common with your partner, to share some thoughts, ideas etc. And if you have that you also have things just for yourself and that's the key to a perfect relationship in my opinion :)

For me, it would either be Half or Opposites attract, but only in the way that if you have too much in common with someone, there's no surprise, no spontaneity in the relationship. And if you have some things in common, it's easier to spend the rest of the time figuring each other out. And while I kind of agree that it is cliche for total opposites to be attracted to each other, when I say that, I don't necessarily mean total opposites. I usually mean having a girl be attracted to a guy she would never go for if the circumstances were different. It's like a guy only preferring blonds, or a girl only liking boys who are tall.

You can't control who you fall in love with, and I think that's why the opposites attract scenario gets overplayed a lot. It fits that notion completely.

I somewhat agree with that, I like it better though to make my characters a unique personality that's all their own.

simple you need to have some things in common, that's why you wanna spend time together cause you like the same music or television shows or whatever, but you also have to compliment each other, examples one gets very emotional in stressful situations the other has a very rational head during stressful times. there has to be a balance

In real life, opposites attract wouldn't happen as often as portrayed in media. Half would be more realistic.

Exactly the same wouldn't work in either. In real life, you may think that if they agree on everything, they'd get along just fine. But as opalrose said, there has to be a balance. (Ex. If they got into a fight, they'd both be too stubborn to apologize, if they both weren't good at math it'd be very hard to pay the bills, etc.). In stories, exactly the same is kind of boring.

Ha I never thought about this, wow that's not that good. I have a story and I have this couple and I did not see till now that they are almost opposites. I can't change it now but its funny. I do like they have some things in common and other not.

You need to have things in common obviously, but you need someone that complements/balences you. opalrose said it. ;D The best couples rub off on each other, and help each other to be better people. (Kinda like in Knocked Up. Also if you've read The Hunger Game trilogy, the last chapter is an excelent example.)
