-The siguiente Day-
I peeked from behind the left corner of the school and saw Cameron carrying Mercury's book towards the school entrance. Perfect. I turned to Zoey and Francine, who were right behind me. "I'm ready. How do I look ?" I had on the outfit Francine picked out for me and the makeup Zoey put on me yesterday. My hair was in a french braid, courtesy of Zoey's mom.
"Beautiful", dicho Francine.
"I'm jealous", dicho Zoey.
"Thanks." I turned back to look at Cameron, who had probably forgot something because he was walking back to his car. "Wish me luck." I rushed towards Cameron. "Hey."
"Hey." He did a double take. "What happened to you?"
"Just trying a different look. Now that we're now dating anymore-"
"About that", Cameron began.
"Yeah?" My face lit up.
"Cameron!" Mercury came over to us. My face dimmed. "Did tu get my-" She looked me up and down. "I see someone's trying the slutty look." She smiled an evil smile.
She's one to talk. I examined her rosado, rosa mini-skirt and rosado, rosa baby tee.
"Mercury!" Cameron looked at me apologetically. "Let's go." He and Mercury left.
I went back over to Francine and Zoey.
"How'd it go", they asked in unison.
"Let's just go inside." I turned to walk towards the entrance of the school. "I'm freezing my culo off out here."
-Later That Day-
After returning home, I told Grandma I was going for a bike ride. Though it didn't matter since Gram wasn't speaking to me.
I rode my bike through town and noticed the moon. Full. I then rode into the swamp, unexpectedly of course. My nails turned to claws, my skin turned pale green, my outfit turned into a white gown, my hair turned into seaweed. My bike hit a loose árbol root and I went flying into the mucky, swamp water. "Gross!" I got up. The water was up to my knees. The pond was right below the moon.
All of a sudden the water began glowing. It
want a lighter shade of pale green, almost white. The water began bubbling. I looked around to see who was causing this. Then I saw it. The thing that turned my life into crap.
The sea witch that scratched me.
I tried to run to her, but the water was too thick. Then I felt a wave push me toward her. Am I doing that? Once I got close enough,
I touched her shoulder.
She quickly turned to face me, her eyes glowing red, and hissed at me.
I screamed and fell into the water. When I got back up, she was gone. The water turned back to normal. "Where did she go?" I managed to get out of the pond and made it back to my bike. I started walking back out of the swamp. Then something struck me in the back of the head. I blacked out.
When I woke up, I was tied up in a chair. I looked around and saw I was in a log cabin. The fuego in the fireplace was making the cabina warm. So warm that began to sweat. I slipped out of the ropes and got up. I began walking to the door.
"Where are tu going?"
I turned and saw the sea witch standing por an old stove. "You." I walked up to her. "You did this to me!"
"What are tu talking about?" She was cooking something in the oven.
"You turned me into a sea witch! Remember, I was the girl with the camera. tu scratched me!"
She frowned. "Oh yeah, sorry about that."
"Sorry? You're sorry?" I was in disbelief.
"Yes. tu were in my personal el espacio and I got angry." She took some meat out of the oven. "Are tu hungry?"
"No." I walked back to the door.
"Stay!" Her voice was different. It was low and growl-y. She grabbed my shoulders and dragged me to the little wooden mesa, tabla in the corner of house. "Eat!" She went to get a plate of meat and set it before me. "Eat!"
I took a tiny piece of meat and ate. I gasped. "It taste like a cream cheese and gelatina, jalea bagel!"

ON STORMY CLOUDS
I’VE SEEN HIM SIT
THIS DARK ángel FAIR
WITH FOLDED AND SHIMMERING
GOSSAMER WINGS
AND MOON BEAMS IN HIS HAIR
WITH BURNING EYES
TO EARTH HE SLIDES
SEEKING TO FEEL THE GROUND
THEN SPREAD HIS
RAVEN FEATHERED WINGS
CASTING HIS MAGICK SHADOW ‘ROUND
THIS ángeles TOUCH
IS A COMFORTS SONG
SOFT AS A VELVET CLOAK
AND WHEN HE REACHES
TO RIGHT THE WRONG
HIS WORDS ARE FEELINGS SPOKE
ON HOOF AND WING, I WATCHED HIM SAIL
MY DARK ángel FAIR
TO SOME ARCANE ABODE
WE KNOW NOT WHERE
TILL HIS siguiente ASSIGNMENT
AND THE FUTURE HAS BEEN FORETOLD
FOR THE LAST FLIGHT
THIS DARK ángel TAKES
IS A PIED-PIPERS GATHERING
FOR ALL THE SOULS HE’S TOUCHED
LISTENING TO THE SHADOWY
SONGS THEY’LL NOW SING
I’VE SEEN HIM SIT
THIS DARK ángel FAIR
WITH FOLDED AND SHIMMERING
GOSSAMER WINGS

It's been almost a año since Freak died. For a while, people always used to say to me, "I'm sorry." I hated that. I yelled at them, "Feel sorry for Freak! I'm still alive!"
They shouldn't feel sorry for me. Freak taught me what it meant to walk tall. He tought me that remembering is only an invention of the mind, and if tu try hard enough, tu can remember anything. I try to remember everything Freak told me; and sometimes, it works. Then it slips away.
For a while after Freak died, I went back to being the critter hiding out in Down Under. Then one day, it hit me, and hard. If I had died, I wouldn't want Freak to do what I was doing. I would want him to continue Freak The Mighty.
And that made all the difference.
I try to make Freak proud; maybe I'm even succeeding. I just know that Freak changed the way I saw things, and I owe him that much; to keep Freak The Mighty alive.
