I sit there in my seat
when the teacher sees me
I stare at her
"do your work,"
she says.
I look at her with anger
I look at my math page
The problems stare at me
the campana rings
"Ahhh!" I yell in anger.
people stare at me
I stare at them back.
they run out of the class room
I sit there until the teacher finally sees me.
"you may be dismissed," she says.
I still sit there.
"go," she says.
I stare at her.
She stares at me.
We stare.
"go... don't make me send tu to detention,"
I stare at her
she looks at me.
"Ok, tu asked for it, Richard, Detention,"
I get up.
Still staring.
I leave and walk to the office.
I stare at the Principle
"Sit in my office and do your homework,"
he stares at me
I stare at him.
"I'll be in there in a second,"
I walk in the gray, empty room.
I get out my math homework.
Tik
Tok
the clock annoys me.
I stare at it.
It stares at me.

"AHHHH!"
I get out of my seat.
"STOP STARING AT ME!" I yell to it.
i take the clock off the wall,
and stomp on it.
I breathe heavily.
I stare at it.

Remembering is just an invention of the mind,
So tu need not try to remember something,
tu remember it automatically.
Which is the best thing that tu could have.
The good times that we had...
It is placed in a portion of your mind.
The bad times that we had...
It is placed in the other part of your mind.
tu try to forget all of the bad things that happened,
But it is not possible.
It is stuck in you.
The bad things are painted in ink on your heart.
The good things, tu try to remember.
And they stay.
They never go.
Never leave you.
Remembering is just an invention of the mind.
And, well...I guess I'm happy for that.
So I can remember every friend I've had,
Every boyfriend,
And all the good times.
Every memory will never leave my heart.
They will never be forsaken.
Never.
So tu need not try to remember something,
tu remember it automatically.
Which is the best thing that tu could have.

*Poem I wrote for a class project on the holocaust.

Different in ways they couldn't control
Killed for reasons we do not know
Ranging from ages young to old
The innocent people were taken from homes
Soulless people did not care
That the Jewish were in despair
Concentration camps ending their screams
Breaking apart their families
Not once did they do anything wrong
They opened their mouths and sang a sad song
Years went por and más pain came
Until on one very special day
As one we all saved
The survivors of the Holocaust
