Well, this was a story I started working on before my computer crashed. I don't necessarily have a name for it. Tell me what tu think of it...if tu bother to read it....
Introduction
Since the beginning of time, there was one thing that was always there. Light
Light came in a phenomenal ball of fire. The fuego exploded into a thousand little pieces and spread across the nothingness of darkness. As soon as everything was in its alignment, it was the beginning of life.
A unheard of kind of lobos believe that in the beginning of this called life, there were four lobos brought to the replenished world of Lugar. In Lugar, there’s endless prey and eternal inhabitants; nothing like the foul planet tu Beings like to call Earth.
These four lobos were the beginning of the gods. Of course, there’s only one god, but the god must have a mate, must he not?
Two of the four lobos were named Fenris and Olrick. Fenris was a black, dark wolf, whose acts were both malicious and cruel. And Olrick was a white wolf, on which his acts always brought kindness and generosity. Both brothers were dado a challenge.
Their challenge was to find a mate. If one should court before the other, they earn the title. Fenris wanted all the power for himself, thinking of how he could send the world’s generations through war and poverty. But Olrick was only thinking about finding the perfect mate. He was not in the least bit anxious of the deeds of Lugar.
“I must find a mate before I plan,” he decided. “What’s the point of planning if I haven’t earned the title, yet?”
Fenris and Olrick traveled through the forests of Nuran, searching. Desperate to get the title, Fenris searched all over for this mate. But Olrick casually strolled, gazing at the beauty of the forest. His corazón wasn’t set on anything. Until he saw…her!
Olrick thought she was the most beautiful lobo in all of Lugar. Her elegant white fur, the blue color of her eyes, the way she drank from a pool of water.
Olrick had a strange feeling in his gut as he approached the she-wolf. But, before he spoke, she looked up, drawn to his gaze.
“I was told that you’d come,” she murmured in a soft, sweet voice like morning dew. “And I’m glad it was you.”
Of all of Fenris’s searching, he couldn’t find a she-wolf. And that was when he saw Olrick and his new mate, Nella. Fenris lost, and Olrick won the título of being the one god. Which meant that Nella was his goddess. Together they had a son and a daughter, who which started the creation of many generations of these lobos that can see the light.
Meanwhile, Fenris, who’s corazón was so dark and cold, had received his mate in vain and was forced to live in the shadows. He and his mate, Sela, started many generations of lobos who lived in darkness.
About the lobos themselves, they’re not any lobos back on Earth. On Lugar, the lobos had the ability to have wings and fly. The lobos of the Light Kingdom have long, elegant wings that are white as the winter snow. Meanwhile, the lobos of the Kingdom of Darkness have leathery bat-like wings. Their abilities of flying and plotting and building were más highly advanced than the lobos on Earth.
The generations of the family became branches of different families. But now, the tradition of the título of god became the título of monarchy. The eldest rightful heir of Olrick and Nella became king o queen.
And this is where our story begins….
Prologue
Paw-steps thundered through the halls of the palace, floors shining and bright, glinting off the large wolf’s claws. The long-haired male’s amber eyes glinted in the direction of what was ahead of him. His eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he found the room he sought for.
“You’re Highness.” A slender gray male dipped his head in greeting.
The white lobo nodded at him in return. “Have the arrived?”
“Not yet.” There was humor in the lord’s eyes. “But it’s almost time, Borealis.”
“Do tu think it’d be courteous if I go to her, Verne?” Borealis asked hastily.
Verne’s eyes glinted. “I guess tu could.”
Borealis nodded again, nosing at the door. Inside a large room, in a decent sized nest, there lay a gray she-wolf. Her green eyes were glazed with pain as her rounded belly rippled like waves on the shore.
She looked up at him. “What are tu doing in here?” she gasped, panting. “You off all lobos should know to heed caution when the she-wolf’s giving birth!”
“I just wanted to see how tu were,” he murmured.
“It’s all right,” she panted. “You have nothing to worry. Now, go! tu mustn’t see me like this!”
As she left, she let out a low grown.
“How’s the queen doing?” Verne asked.
Borealis looked up, sighing. “Rose is doing just fine.”
“It’s all just a matter of time now.”
The king nodded. “I’ll wait for her.”
He then lay por the door, laying his head on his paws. Through the closed door, he heard Rose’s groaning and whining from inside. …
“Borealis, wake up.”
The white lobo jerked up his head. He must’ve dozed off. It was moonrise. Rose was staring at him, her eyes clouded por drowsiness. He immediately sprang to his paws.
“They’re here?!” he exclaimed.
“Yes,” she murmured, shushing her mate.
Borealis’ corazón soared, his legs almost giving way from the heaviness of pride.
“Come,” she whispered, amusement in her eyes.
His Highness walked on unsteady paws after her. Rose just padded casually towards her nest, laying down in it to try to be comfortable. As she did, there were little squeaks from inside of the nest. Borealis froze for a moment.
His mate simply chuckled. “Come on. They don’t bite.”
He put one paw after the other slowly towards the nest. He heard little whimpering as he reached her side.
“You have two sons and a daughter,” she whispered.
His eyes blinking in the glooms, he saw two white pelts and one dark grey, all suckling from their mother. He felt like he was going to burst with pride.
“They’re perfect!” he gasped.
Rose sighed softly, licking each pup’s head in turn.
“We still have to name them,” she murmured.
“Okay,” he smiled. “Which one is the eldest?”
“This one.” She pointed her muzzle to the grey male.
“Thandar,” he dicho immediately. “He looks like he’ll make a powerful king.”
“Yes,” she murmured. “And our youngest one will make a wonderful Healer. I’d like to name him William.”
The white lobo pup’s paws batted at her belly lightly, responding to the name.
“I think he likes it,” Borealis chuckled. “And now this little lady, I’d like to name her Luna.”
“A beautiful name for a beautiful princess,” Rose murmured.
He pressed his muzzle against hers. Borealis lay beside the nest, sleeping siguiente to his new family.
Meanwhile, there is a dark force on the other side of the world. In a place where it’s always cloudy and dark, where a large, dark castillo rests. This is the Kingdom of Darkness. What happened to Fenris’ generations was that their hearts grew cold and evil. The way things work in the Light Kingdom are just the same here, except for their customs.
A small black wolf, about five months old, was standing siguiente to a taller grey male, who was about a año old.
“What do tu want me to do?” the small male asked his companion.
“The queen of the Light Ones has dado birth to three pups,” the grey lobo replied. “Your father wants tu to retrieve them.”
“But, why?” he huffed. “Couldn’t Snaggletooth o Jethro do it?”
“Your father wants tu to!” The lobo nudged the younger and spat por his ear. “This is your mission. Do it, o you’ll might as well lose your rights!”
“Who gave tu the right to?” he protested. “Besides, it’s the king’s pup! It’s a bad idea.”
The larger lobo snarled, his claws flexing.
“All right!” the smaller growled, his claws digging into the stone. “I’ll do it! I still think it’s a bad idea, Krall.”
“Then go! Now!’
Krall pushed the small black lobo off the ledge. He was taken por surprise, and he yelped and closed his eyes. But as he plummeted towards the ground, he felt the strange and yet familiar feeling in his shoulders.
His leathery wings flapped involuntarily, lifting him up in the air. He flew with great speed with clumsiness as he headed for the beautiful castle. His corazón pounded with anticipation; he caught the magnificent kingdom in sight.
Careful to keep his stealth, he silently landed on the large windowsill of the main bedchamber. His corazón pounded, his breathing heavy as he looked thought the window.
Oh, no!
He saw the queen with her pups, yes, but laying siguiente to her was the king, Borealis.
He immediately backed away, panting with fear. His wings retracted, and his mind was racing as he figured out the plan. But, right on schedule…
“Majesty!”
Borealis awoke from his slumber at the whisper.
“What is it, Lichen?” Borealis whispered.
“I believe Verne has sent me for you.”
“Are tu sure?”
“I wouldn’t be here if he didn’t,” liquen barked.
Borealis stood up. “All right.”
The small lobo looked over to see if the king had left. His amber eyes gleamed with satisfaction to see that he had bought it.
So he padded into the room, determined not to make any noise. His corazón was still pounding as he reached into the nest. Her Majesty was sleeping soundly, her tail curled around her three little ones.
He couldn’t help pausing. The family looked so peaceful.
“Well, I thought that he called you, Your Majesty.”
Oh, dear! liquen came back!
The small lobo had to think fast. “Which one?” he whispered, panicking.
A dark grey pelt caught his eye.
I guess I’ll get this pup.
Not thinking anymore, he grabbed the pup he sought for slowly and stealthily. Quicker than lightning, he flew out the door. Surprisingly, the pup was quiet, so he stayed to hear what will be happening.
He heard stirring and panicking inside the room. Then, as he heard a mourning wail, he cringed.
“Rose!” The deep voice of Borealis cracked. “What happened?”
“Our son! Thandar!”
“What is it?” His voice was raised.
“Someone came in and took him!”
He heard paw-steps coming towards the window, and the small lobo gasped with his teeth still clenched on the pup’s scruff. He fell down off the windowsill just as Borealis jerked his head to look angrily around. Not realizing his wings were there, he was startled when he started flying.
“Olrick help your soul!” he then heard Borealis howl to him. “Stane may have won my rightful heir, but nothing will stop me! This is war! Tell that to your king!”
The small lobo shuddered. His father surely would amor this treasure. And as his wings flapped towards his own castle, he couldn’t help feeling guilty for the sad king.
“What do we do, Borealis?” Rose cried, meanwhile.
“We don’t have any choice,” the king sighed, lowering his head in exhaustion. “Stane has won our son over.”
“Borealis!” she gasped. “We can’t just give up!”
“But we can’t waste any más blood. We just have to have the siguiente eldest be the heir.”
“You mean…Luna?”
Borealis sighed heavily, gazing at the nest. The pure white she-pup nestled in the clumps of bracken, shivering.
“Yes,” he murmured. “Luna is the siguiente rightful heir, so a año from now she’ll start her training as queen.”
Rose sighed. “I’m sure there’ll be high hopes for her.”…
