What is a rating buddy?

I've read about a good number of commets on here. xD

And they will usually say something like, "it's ok to have a rating buddy but 49 ratings within 5 minutos is ridiculous!"

o "this isn't one buddy lol this is five"

o things like that.
And I was wondering what exactly a rating buddy is=/
'Cause I told a girl who didn't have medallas that I'd help her out with 'fanning' any content she added (it was all my idea, I'll admit that, if that would be against Fanpop's rules&policy and would be wrong), and I remembered that she may be what one would consider my 'rating buddy' and therefore it will be fine if I view it/or look at it that way? =/

So, my main pregunta is.....what exactly is a rating buddy?

A rating buddy refers to someone who rates the content tu post because they generally like the stuff tu post. It was más applicable back in the olden days when we had the rating system. But basically it just refers to friends on fanpop who rated each other's contributions because they were both adding good stuff.

As opposed to medal whores who get people multiple to rate their content no matter how crappy o poorly uploaded it is.

As long as the content your 'buddy' is adding is properly credited/keyworded/titled, good quality content then it is good to support them because its good for them, other Fanpoppers and fanpop as a whole.

I follow a few people around (*cough*stalker*cough*) and rate their content just because I know those people well and I know that their content is always good. It isn't necessarily reciprocal, but just something I do because I like supporting good content when it is shared.

What I do when I'm fanning a specific person's content is make sure that I also look out for and fan/rate other good content that is worthy of fanning in the same spot. That way you're spreading the amor around all the other good content too.
