Now, there are a lot of things that make a game. However, what about those things that nobody likes, yet, no matter what, tu see them EVERYWHERE! Yeah, tu know, those things that every time tu see them, tu just lose all the fun that was once in the game. Well, today, I am going to talk about the Ten Things In Games I Hate. Now, remember that this is my list, so if there is a thing in games that tu hate, but isn’t on this list, either I have no problems with it, o I find these problems worse. Now, with that said, lets start the list

#10: cargando... Screens - Now, we all know about these things. cargando... screens are made to just come up all the time, and take an eternity. There are a lot of games that use this. Fable’s cargando... screens occur after every cutscene, every time tu go to a new area, and every time tu go to level up. Dead Rising 2’s cargando... screen does the same as Fable, only this time, the areas are much shorter, so why does the cargando... screen need to be so long. However, there are games that actually use the cargando... screens as ways to mover the story along. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare shows a cutscene while the game loads. So, incase tu didn’t notice, Call of Duty did something better than Dead Rising AND Fable… I rest my case

#9: Quick-Time Events/Button Mashers - Now, these are two things that I hate equally. A quick-time event is a moment in a game, mostly in a cutscene, where tu have to press a certain button at a certain time, and if tu mess up, tu will die and have to start all over again. And, the worst part, is that A LOT of games do this. God of War has tu do it for EVERY enemy. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, tu have to wait for a certain time for an enemy to attack so tu can counter attack por using a quicktime event. But the biggest offender is Resident Evil 4, where they have a whole BOSS FIGHT dedicated to it. The only games that does this right is No más heroes 2 and Madworld, as they are predictable and give tu más than enough time to react to them. Now, button mashing is when tu have to slam down the button so tu can complete a certain task. Mario Party games are filled with these, and NONE of them are fun. These have gotten so bad, nintendo actually had to give out gloves so people don’t burn their hands. And, in Banjo Kazooie, there is a race game tu need to complete 4 TIMES, and tu need to slam down the A button for 3 MINUTES! Oh, and some games make tu do button mashing and quicktime events at the same time… Yeah, I think I’ve dicho más than enough

#8: Backtracking - Now, I know there are parts of a level tu need to go back to so tu can get through the game. But, here’s my question… WHY! Backtracking is when tu have to go through a part of the level that tu have already been through. This is just a lazy way for the developers to make the game longer, when in reality, its boring. Why would anyone want to go through an area of the game that they have already gone through? There is nothing to do, nothing new to find, and, like I said, adding a place that you’ve already been through is just lazy.

#7: expiró Sidequests - Now, I always asked myself why there is never a notice when sidequests are gonna end and the only time tu do notice is when its too late. The answer I got was simple… IT’S BECAUSE GAME DEVELOPERS ARE DOUCHEBAGS! expiró Sidequests are when tu are working your way through the story mode, but, tu then see that a sidequest tu wanted to do is no longer available and is forever gone. This is a problem because games have lots of really fun sidequest’s. Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask has the Kafei and Anju sidequest. Fable 2 has the amor Hurts sidequest. And Dead Island has……. Chores…… Okay, that last one was a bad example, but still, whenever tu go too far in a game, its too late to go back and do that sidequest. All tu can do now is either continue with the story mode, o restart the entire game all over again, just for that one sidequest. This is why I always recommend doing sidequests before the story mode.

#6: Boss Runs - Now, bosses are always a way to challenge a new found ability, o to test what tu have learned so far. They are usually fun, hard, annoying, easy, o brilliant. However, what happens when tu have to fight a boss you’ve already defeated again. tu get bored REAL fast. There are so many games that make tu fight bosses all over again. Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Ghost and Goblins… Screw it, any game made por Capcom, and even nintendo games, like Wind Waker, and A Link to the Past. Why do we want to fight the boss again. The first time tu fight a boss, tu need to find out how to defeat them, making the experience amazing. But when tu find them again, tu already know what to do, and it is just repetitive. And, just like backtracking, this is a lazy way for the game to last longer. STOP BEING LAZY, DEVELOPERS!

#5: Jump Scares - This is why I hate most horror games. Jump Scares are when a creepy enemy pops up in your face, and makes a loud noise, just to scare people. You’d think that cine had done this to death already, but no. Now they have to mover ahead towards video games. There are different kinds of horror. There’s psychological fear, which mess with your mind, making tu pregunta what’s real and not real, which is what Eternal Darkness does. Then there’s threatened fear, which is where tu are against something tu can’t fight back and all tu can do is hide o run, which is what Amnesia does. Then there’s jump scares, which is a lazy way to scare people, which is done in… Ahem… F.E.A.R, Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, Resident Evil 5, Slender: The Eight Pages, Dead el espacio again, SCP: Containment Breach, Five Night’s At Freddy’s, Dead el espacio AGAIN, and a whole bunch of internet horror games. Just stop making this already. Why is horror got to be in the form of loud noises

#4: Instakills - Now, what is an instakill, tu may ask? Well, it is when an enemy, mostly in an RPG, attacks tu with an attack so powerful, that it will kill tu in just one hit. This is only satisfying when tu do it. When your enemy does it, its a nightmare. Like I said, this happens in every RPG imaginable. Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Paper Mario, Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Trigger, Mario and Luigi, Secret of Mana, Persona, tu NAME IT! IT’S THERE! IT’S ALWAYS THERE, AND IT PISSES ME OFF TO NO END

#3: Forced Losses - Oh man, it is time for the bad ones. And what a better way to start off then with this. Now, forced losses are when the game is scripted for tu to lose, and tu just have to lose, no matter what. A lot of games do this, like Call of Duty. When tu have to kill hundreds and hundreds of enemies, what are tu greeted with at the end of a level? tu get killed. Okay, then why did it matter if I died in the other parts of the level. If I died there, wouldn’t it be the exact same thing? Battlefield 3 is worse though, as it says that a helicopter will come and save you. But guess what? No, your gonna die. tu could fight with the power of Rambo, and you’ll never make it. But, the worst offenders, again, are RPG’s. This is worse because tu will be using up items that tu need, and will have to go and buy them again. And the game doesn’t tell tu that tu have to lose. At least the flashback segment in Final fantasía VII did it right por letting the enemy be a one hit kill, and tu didn’t have to do much. Why can’t RPG’s do that instead of making me waste all my items?

#2: Cheap Difficulty - Now, I know that their are some gamers out there who are better than others. And I know that difficulty helps gamers get through a game on a difficulty best suited for them. So, tell me… WHY DOES SOME GAMES NEED TO BE UNFAIR! There are so many games out there that are so unfair, that it makes me wonder how sadistic the developers were when they made these games. Lets just name some games to see how many games are there that are insanely hard. (Ahem) Ninja Gaiden, Rygar, Battletoads, Ghost and Goblins, Blaster Master, Gauntlet, every Mega Man game, Silver Surfer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Karate Kid, parte superior, arriba Gun, Bionic Commando, Contra, The Adventures of Bayou Billy, Mike Tysons puñetazo, ponche Out, Bart VS The el espacio Mutants, Yo Noid, Double Dragon 3, Castlevania 1 and 3, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Fester’s Quest, Dragon’s Lair, Legend of Zelda 2, Batman, Deadly Towers, Dick Tracy, Super Pitfall, Action 52, Ikari Warriors, SEE WHAT I MEAN! And those were just on NES. And with the release of the PS4 game, Bloodborne, it seems games with cheap difficulty aren’t going away for a while

#1: Escort Missions - I hate escort missions. I hate, hate, hate, HATE escort missions más than anything in video games. These missions serve no other purpose than to piss me off. Escort missions are when your goal is to escort someone to their destination, while keeping them seguro from enemies and obstacles. Now, the problem is that your escort is either an idiot, the enemies and obstacles are too difficult, the level goes on for too long, o ALL THREE! And, the worst part, is that lots of games have these. In Matrix: Path of Neo, tu have multiple escorts. Some follow tu willingly, some are even able to fend for themselves, but most of them are annoying. Some will just walk at a snails pace where they will likely die, while others run away from you, where they die even faster, and most of them ALWAYS run away, and it just gets so annoying. Oh, but were just getting started with this. In Metal Gear Solid 2, tu have to escort a girl. This is a problem because 1. tu have to swim through water, 2. She cannot swim, 3. She is very slow, 4. tu have a very short air supply, and 5. After that, tu need to make sure she doesn’t get shot, o trip over mines. If she does, have fun doing all that again. Dead Rising is basically one big escort mission. tu always need to escort a bunch of idiots to the seguro house, but they will always run in the opposite direction, o run head first into zombies, almost as if they want to get eaten. Thankfully, this was fixed GREATLY in Dead Rising 2. In Goldeneye 007, tu have to protect Natalya, but she is always running into enemy fire, and when I say always, I mean, literally, ALWAYS! And, if tu can die in segundos from gunfire, she dies in a millisecond. In Fable, tu need to protect merchants in the most dangerous area in the game, which is filled with bandits, and Balverines, which is the most annoying enemy in the game. Also, one of the merchants is bitten, and if tu don’t get him through the forest in time, he will turn into a Balverine, and tu lose. In Metal Gear Solid 3, tu need to escort Eve through the woods, but she is so goddamn slow, not to mention she gets hungry so easily, so tu need to constantly feed her, o she’ll alert enemies. But, the biggest offender is Resident Evil 4. The entire game, let me repeat that, the ENTIRE GAME is one big escort mission. Ashley is always running towards the enemies, as if she wants to get captured, and she always gets in your line of fire, to where tu may accidently shoot her. And, when she gets kidnapped ingame, it counts as a game over, but when she gets kidnapped in cutscenes, its okay… WHERE THE HELL IS THE LOGIC IN THAT! Escort missions are just annoying, dull, repetitive, and are a sin on gaming, and are the thing I hate the most in video games

So, there tu have it. Did tu enjoy the list? Tell me what tu thought of it below. With that, I will see tu all siguiente time
