Ok don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore both characters, but I think both of them are a little (or more) shallow

If Rosalie was "shallow"...then she wouldnt have cared if Bella was turned or not. Underneath I believe she's a decent vampire. :)

i would have normally said caroline cause of how shallow she SEEMS but after the last few epsiodes, shes getting better...

rosalie is shallow cause she didn't want to be changed cause all she wanted to be was adored and loved as a human not as a vampire.

basically rosalie annoys me a lot, but caroline doesn't annoy me as much as she used to - so caroline wins =D

I've always seen Caroline as insecure - she judges others the way she judges herself. Whereas, Rosalie pre-vamp was gorgeous - knew it and as a vampire - knows it. She knows how beautiful she is but takes pleasure in pointing other ppl's faults. And no - she's not insecure she's jus down right bitchy. Having lived for decades etc she still hasn't come across anyone prettier than herself, so she doesn't have a reason to be insecure tbh and is prbz tired of getting to know ppl asa she knows they die - she doesn't. Ros doesn't put that much effort in.

i personally like Rosealie she is one of the few good characters in twilight,I don't think she is shallow at all Bella is shallow Rosealie not so much i think that Rosealie is more looked upon as being a bitch because she stands up for what she believes in. P.S. I think that the girl that plays carloine would have been a much better choice for elena.

I have always thought Rosalie of being hurt and not easily trusting others. Of course she cared very much about her appearance but come on which girl doesn't even the slightest bit? She thought of vampire life being a curse and she didn't want Bella to destroy her future. She is the character that we first think to be a bitch and is later revealed to have quite a deep personallity. She is selfish but she would die for her family and Emmett unlike Caroline who wouldn't give a damn. Caroline is shallow because she is appeared to care only about herself and indeed she DOES care only about herself. She's like Regina George from Mean Girls. Popular but shallow. Elena was shallow too in the beginning of The Awakening but later she changed which is why I now like her.

And I agree with you Nicoleandjames when you say that the girl that plays Caroline would have been a much better choice for Elena.

Rose WAS shallow while she was still human, But as a Vampire, she seems much more reflected and "deep" to put it that wat.

Caroline on the other hand is so shallow it makes me wanna puke.

i love caroline bur she is a bit more shallower than roseli. but when she turns she is not shallow any more. i like caroline i hate roselia
