I like them both because Rowling created Harry Potter and Meyer created Twilight. But as a person I like Stephenie better

Not a JK Rolling fan at all Harry Pot Head always bored me. With the Twilight series I'm on the edge of my seat.

I like Harry Potter but Twilight's better. Stephenie Meyer and Stephen King are my favourite authors.

she created an entire universe. she wrote such a complex and detailed story that never gets old and always keeps me wanting more. plus she is such a great person, so charitable. i still like stephanie though ofcourse. she wrote the only story that ever truly interested me outside of harry potter. i really hate comparing because they're just different and both amazing but when it comes down to it im faithful to hp and jk first.

as much as I love the harry potter novels and I do, I did not think it could get better then j.k then a friend gave me a copy of twilight and lets just say they are as different as night and day thousand time better then j.k ever thought of being.

i love the harry potter books and think that Rowling is an amazing author buti just started reading the Twilight the other day have finished the first thought it was brill will read the rest as soon as i buy them so i love both their author skills

I'm both a Twilighter and a Potterhead so I can't choose. I do like Stephenie's personality better than JKR, but I do admire JKR's wit and humour.

J.K. is the best. I like both book series, but Harry Potter is a thousand times better. The Potter Universe is so much more... developed, I guess, for lack of a better word. Plus, the stories are just so much better! I love J.K.!

As far as writing goes, JK Rowling could run circles around Stephenie Meyer a thousand times over. JK Rowling created the entire world of Harry Potter, without any help from maps or books, even if she might have researched a few things here or there. All Stephenie Meyer did was write down a dream from memory. Now that's a good memory, I'll give her that. But if you're comparing authors, then I have to go for the woman who did the best job, not drove millions of girls crazy over a Vampire who's no more powerful than your every day, garden variety mythological creature. Just because Stephenie Meyer created Edward Cullen, it doesn't make her the best author who ever lived. Give that honor to someone who deserves it. People like William Shakespeare deserve something like that, not either of these women, though good they both are in their own rights.

Ignoring the fact that she's a FAR better writer, she's also a better person. Jo was poor, struggling to raise a baby by herself, and was trying to cope with the death of her mother when she came up with the idea for Harry Potter. She's always been loyal to her fans, and donates large sums of money to charity.
On the other hand, Stephenie was a bored mormon housewife who decided to write down her sexual fantasy so her and her sister could read it. Since publishing the books, she has thrown two major diva-tantrums: "I'm going to stop writing Midnight Sun, an over-glorified fanfiction, because I, stupidly, gave drafts to half the world's population, and it got leaked!" and "If Breaking Dawn isn't split into two movies, I won't let them make it at all! Who cares that 2/3 of the book was just repeated description, I want my series to be the new Harry Potter!" She's very faithful to her fans... if they live in the USA. Did you know that she refused to come to Australia because she doesn't like flying? That's such loyalty, right there. Also, I don't remember her writing any spin-offs where all the proceeds go to charity, or donating to charity at all, in fact. What is she doing with her millions?

Anyway, Jo's better. Just a fact.
