i never really thought about it. i mean, she could have, it wasn't really a choice, bella was going to open the present, so it's not like she chose to get a paper cut. but i mean, i doubt she was watching for it. idk...good point.

I just wonder about silly, non-important things like that...Bella made the choice to open the present, so could Alice have seen what was about to happen but there wasn't enough time to react? Or did she see something and that's how Edward was able to stop Jasper so fast? That's why I love this site (besides being able to get news all in one place and make and answer quiz questions) you can get other fans' opinions and views.

Yes, I actually wonder that exact same thing!! But I guess she could be controling another thing (not Jasper) and didnt notice what was about to happen!

i think it might have been more around jasper's choice because he made a very quick respose to bella's blood. so yeah it was probably to quick for alice to see. but also the reason edward might have reacted so quickly was b/c he heard jasper's thoughts...

I mean it was a split second and it was more about Jasper deciding that he was going to spring at her.

I don't know how many times I've read this book,I still wonder.What would have happened if Alice changed it?Would Bella still get the paper cut.I mean,little things affect a lot.it depends on how you look at it.Alice could've seen it,and Edward could have picked it up in either Jasper's thoughts or Alice's since he can read both of their thoughts too.He was so quick to respond.It's all you look at it.
