I awoke to a steady beeping sound.Where was I?My eyes fluttered open.Suddenly,I remembered."JAKE!"I sat up so quickly that the heart-rate monitor strapped to me started beeping faster.
"Shhh,"a smooth voice said.My dad's hands held me back against the make-shift hospital bed.I struggled to get back up again."Where's Jacob?"I demanded."What happened to him?"
I looked up and saw my mom lingering in the doorway,biting her lip.My eyes misted over."What h-happened?"My voice shook."You should get some rest,"my dad said."NO!"I shouted."I want to know what happened!"
"He...he's gone.They took him,"my mom said.No.This couldn't be happening.Everything was perfect.But now,everything was lost.Tears welled over my eyelids."W-what?"I asked,my voice breaking.I finally broke down,sobbing."There there,"my mom rushed over,trying to comfort me.
"Nessie Carlie Cullen,"my dad started,his voice as hard as steel."I vow that I will not stop until I find him and punish every single one of those filthy monsters."I sniffed."We have to now!"I said.
"You are in no condition to be fighting,"my mom said."But I have to find him!"I retorted."Don't worry,"she said."The others are on the trail.They'll come back and we'll all punish those beasts."
Just then,the door flew open,revealing Emmet,Rosalie,Jasper,Esme,Carlisle,and Alice."We've found them,"Carlisle said."Jacob is still alive.There's at least five newborns.We don't know why they want him,but I think they hunt werewolves.They keep drugging him before he ever wakes up.He can't keep it up much longer if we don't do something fast."
My corazón skipped a beat.He was alive!"We need to get him out of there now!"Mom said."I know,"said Carlisle."And we will,but Nessie,You need to stay here."
"But I wa-"Carlisle interupted me."No buts about it.They nearly tore your arm off.Stay here."
Mom rubbed my good shoulder,trying to comfort me.Dad kissed my forehead."Don't worry,everything will be alright."I sighed as they left the room.But I already knew what I was going to do.Exactly a minuto after they left,I sat up.I winced as I pulled the IV out of my arm.I groaned when I hopped out of the bed,but I didn't care.I had to help save Jacob!
It took only a few minutos to find Jacob's prison.It was an abandoned boathouse.As I hid in the brush,I watched my family fighting.They were winning.That was good.I knew Jake had to be somewhere inside.I creapt around to the side of the boathouse.
I took a deep breath and peered into the window.I gasped.I was right.Jacob was on the floor.If his muscular chest wasn't moving up and down,I would have thought that he was dead!His cheeks were sunken and yellow,and he just looked plain horrible!
My body froze when I heard the voice."Clever girl,you found him."It was smooth,like honey.I slowly turned around.One of the newborns was standing in front of me.A male."It's to bad that tu will have to die in vain,"he sneered.Then,he sprang.

I awoke to that annoying beeping sound again."Nessie!"A husky voice said.I knew that voice."JAKE!"I exclaimed,bolting upright.I threw myself at the warm chest of the person I loved.I sobbed.Half because of the agonizing pain in my ribcage,and half because I missed him so much.
"Whoa!"He said,setting my down on my pillow."You have three broken ribs.I don't think tu need any more."I don't care!I missed tu so much!What happened?"I waited impatiently as he started to explain.

Three days later,everything was back to normal.I was strolling through the woods with Jacob.Again,we stopped in the clearing that we got attacked in."What?"I asked.He was giving me a strange look.I gasped as he slid down on one knee.OMG.
