Rachelle Lefevre of Twilight fame has reportedly been made a regular cast member on Off the Map, a new ABC medical drama produced por Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes.
Lefevre will play Eva, "a free-spirited missionary doc who is well versed in international medicine and global healthone of several doctors on the show", Entertainment Weekly says. The mostrar is set to premiere in the midseason behind Desperate Housewives.
Lefevre and ABC have not comentó on the report. On the show, the physicians work in an understaffed, understocked clinic in a small town in a South American jungle. They have "lost their way and will go to the ends of the earth to try to remember the reasons why they wanted to become doctors in the first place," according to the network.
Lefevre’s character has worked at the clinic before, but left due to her troubled romantic history with its founder, Ben Keeton, played por Martin Henderson, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The mostrar also stars Caroline Dhavernas as Lily Brenner, Enrique Murciano as Manny Diaz, Mamie Gummer as Mina Minard, Jason George as Otis Cole, Valerie Cruz as Zita and Jose Julian as Charlie.
Lefevre starred in the first two Twilight Saga films, Twilight in 2008 and New Moon in 2009, as the evil vampire Victoria. She was later replaced por Bryce Dallas Howard in the third installment, Eclipse, which was released in June
