Young Canadians have been demonstrating their thirst for a good read as Indigo libros and música marks the sale this week of 600,000 copies of Stephenie Meyer’s page-turning Twilight series in 2008. The paranormal romance of Bella, Edward the vampire and Jacob the werewolf has become so popular among young readers this año that the Twilight Saga has eclipsed the number of Harry Potter libros sold at the Canadian bookstore in 2007, including the launch of the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This sales milestone comes in the same week as the highly anticipated Twilight movie hits the big screen.
"I never expected to see another series sell as many copies as Harry Potter did in 2007. For the Twilight series to have sold más copies in 2008 than the Harry Potter series did last año is truly extraordinary," says Trevor Dayton, Vice President, Kids and Entertainment at Indigo libros & música Inc.

Just this summer, to launch Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final book in the Twilight Saga, thousands of fans across Canada attended Midnight enmascarados parties at Indigo and Chapters stores to be among the first to buy copies of the latest book.

Emmett and I watched tv for hours. I sat in the same position with my phone in my hands waiting for Collin to call. My phone started ringing and I picked it up and dicho hello very excited. It turned out to be a wrong number. Emmett and Rose were laighing at me. I ate cena and Collin still had not called. Alice told me to wait for him to call but he never did. I stayed up till 2:30 in the morning, me and Emmett was watching tv and playing video games. I didn't really play much attion to the game, I was hoping that Collin would call. It was 3 am so I decided to go to bed. I didn't fall asleep right away. I heard/ felt Jasper come in my room. hola Jasper. hola Zoey. There was a long pause... So Jasper what do tu want, its 3am?
