Orginal título was meant to be :Chris Weitz Talks About The New Moon DVD-The Missing Deleted Scenes & Why There Is No Cast Commentary but it was too long

Chris Weitz recently spoke to Collider where he discussed the New Moon DVD and his siguiente project…

Collider: Yes. How are tu doing today, sir?

Chris Weitz: I’m very well thank you. How are you?

I’m doing very well actually. Thank tu for giving me some time today.

Chris: It’s my pleasure.

So have tu been doing a lot of press today?

Chris: Well tu are the 5th on my list, so not so much that my brain has turned to Jell-o yet.

So I will jump on in. I let a lot of people know that I was going to be talking to tu and when I say a lot of people I’m talking about Twilight fans. So I was dado a whole bunch of things to ask you, so here we go.

Chris: Okay.

The first thing though is a lot of people wanted to know…you might not remember me at the junket for New Moon. I’m the one who followed tu up in the elevator and sort of…I sort of talked to tu about what to expect on the DVD.

Chris: I remember we spoke, yes.

And tu told me at that point that there was going to be about 10 minutos of deleted scenes and there was going to be a commentary with Kristin, Rob and Taylor.

Chris: I know and they blew me off. (laughter) por the time it came to record the commentary, I think that they were so exhausted because they had done even más press than I had. And I recall….we did it in New York and they were either on their way there or, tu know, getting ready for some fancy function that evening and it just wasn’t going to happen. And so even though I think it’s probably terribly disappointing it’s just me and editor talking about things, but actually I think we’re rather funny.

más after the break…

So basically you’re telling me that the reason why the actors are not on it is due to time o just…

Chris: Just due to time. It’s funny, tu know, tu sort of have to plot out amongst all the bejillion other things that they’re doing including getting ready to shoot Eclipse. Whether there is two hours for them to get to the studio to watch the film and then talk through it o not. And it just didn’t work out that way.

Okay, but this now leads to the siguiente things which is forgetting about the actors, tu mentioned about 10-12 minutos of deleted scenes. I looked at the DVD last night and I’m going to be honest, I couldn’t find those deleted scenes.

Chris: No?

Were they on the DVD?

Chris: Yeah. Well you’ve got a scene with Victoria in the car. Let me see…I’m trying to think…

Are they put back in the movie?

Chris: Oh are they put back in the movie? tu know to be honest with you, tu have to tell me because I haven’t seen the final DVD menu. It might be separate o they might have been put back in the movie. I can’t answer that because I’m unaware of the final format.

I will…by the way I’m not criticizing o anything.

Chris: Oh not at all. You’re trying to confirm. I know that there is at least 10 minutos of extra material. Whether they’re actual entire scenes that got cut-probably not very many entire scenes were cut, but that’s a good thing. It’s because we were kind of happy with what we’d shot. But there are extended scenes which have más to them that ended up in the theatrical version.

Because when I went through the menu system I found there was a really cool documentary. I watched the 2-disc DVD. And the documentary seemed cool and I definitely learned a lot about the behind the scenes of the film and I would totally recommend it. But I didn’t find any deleted scenes o even a section that had extended scenes. And I’m pretty good at finding through menu systems.

Chris: tu surprise me. I’ll get right on that.

I’m just throwing that out there, but this actually goes back to my siguiente thing, which is I’m just going to go out there and say that the amount of deleted scenes that tu mentioned to me are not on the disc. So my pregunta for tu is, as most people know the DVD’s have to be created when the film is getting ready to come out. And it’s really rushed. Has Summit already sort of talked to tu about, well tu know down the road tu know after Breaking Dawn they’re going to probably put out I would imagine like a deluxe set. tu know, something that they could give the fans with a lot of extras. Have they already sort of dicho to tu about maybe doing like a special edition down the road?

Chris: They haven’t actually. I mean I know what you’re talking about, kind of an extended director’s cut version. We haven’t spoken about that. I mean I know they did that with things like Lord of the Rings and that sort of thing. I think that that sort of is a two way calle and it would require me to feel as though I hadn’t made the version of the movie that I was satisfied with. And I sort of felt the version that was up in theatres was great. Now there is material that would be of interest to fans and whether it’s on the DVD that comes out now o whether there’s going to be another version coming out later, I’m not sure. tu should ask the Summit guy. I don’t want to answer for them because I would be making it up.

Well let me ask tu this question-if Summit were to come to tu and say, “We’re going to do a deluxe box set down the road”, would it be something that tu would want to go into and sort of just play with?

Chris: Yeah, sure. I’d be happy to. Any director kind of always wishes they could tinker a bit longer with what they had. I think it would be fun. But there’s not a kind of a burning desire born of not having felt that I dicho what I had to say in the movie.

Now that you’re removed from the whirlwind of making the film, I’m sure that a lot of fans know what tu look like now based on interviews and whatever else. What’s the one thing that people always o the one thing that fans have dicho to tu about the film o what have they always wanted to talk to tu about now that everyone’s seen it?

Chris: Well, of course everyone wants to meet Rob o Taylor! (laughter) And they’re under the impression that I’m always hanging out with them and I wish that I was so cool! That’s, I’m sure, in the foremost of people’s minds. But mostly they, I think, have expressed appreciation that movie is treated in the spirit of the books. And I’ve felt very supported in that regard. But I must say you’d be surprised at how unrecognizable I become when I’m not standing directly siguiente to Kristen, Rob o Taylor! So, tu know, I am incredibly non-descript in that regard.

Which is, what exactly are tu currently working on? What are tu thinking about doing next?

Chris: I am actually have just gone to pre-production on a film called The Gardener which is about a father and son. The father is a undocumented immigrant living in Los Angeles. So imagine no special effects. A very kind of strong character driven actor’s piece is what I’m doing next.

Do tu know when you’ll be announcing casting?

Chris: Yeah, actually probably in the siguiente couple of weeks.

Of course I have to ask because the Twilight fans are going to want to know, is there any Twilight actors that impressed tu to the point that tu might want to put them in the movie?

Chris: Well, all the Twilight actors have impressed me actually. I really enjoyed working with them, but since this is a movie really about Mexican-Americans, there’s no one from the Twilight act that would fit in. I tried to get Kristen to have a mustache and wear a sombrero but it wouldn’t work.

That’s funny. I know I’ve got to envolver, abrigo with you, when do tu think you’re in front of cameras on this thing?

Chris: April 26th is our first día of shooting.

Oh wow. Are tu shooting in L.A.?

Chris: Yup.

Is it Summit?

Chris: It is Summit. Yes it is. Had a great experience with them and want to keep on working with them.

I had an original articulo that was like 8 pages that dicho my opinion on every single scene (lol) but I decided to shorten it and put it up here ;D. Ummm... I'm pretty critical, but please don't bash me if tu don't agree. This is simply my opinion. It's not like it even matters... lol

One Word: Disappointment. If anyone asked me to describe the movie to them, that is what I would say. It was a disappointment. And, I think that's a generous statement for how awful it was.
(Now, to the people that loved the twilight movie, I'm sorry I don't agree with you. But, again, don't get really angry......

From what I have heard through all the Chicago base Fanpopper. They too are dissapointed with the false and deceitful information from Hot Topic. From San Francsico to Texas to Chicago,Seem to me that twice Hot Topic have failed us miserably. Many numbers of fans were waiting in a cold hoping to see our favorito! estrella Robert Pattinson.
With the false information which they did the same with San Francisco telling fans that the lines will start at different time, but what most found out was that the wrist band had already been sold since the early hours of the morning. All the fans that showed up...

Okay so I'm not one of those fans who wants the film to be exactly like the book-no offence to anyone- because I know thats just not going to happen.
But I was watching the new Twilight trailer and saw this:

Don't tu think it's a little weird that all three cars are there, I thought the Cullens didn't want to bring any attention to themselves. Now I know all cine aren't like the libros they're based on, Harry Potter is a great example of that. But I thought the Cullens wanting to keep themselves inconspicuous was an obvious fact that ran through the book.
I know other people have noticed changes in the movie too- like Bella having her chaqueta at the restaurant, and that they've changed the name of the restaurant.
I just wanted to know what other people felt about this. Either way I'm still going to see the movie, I can't wait. But does anyone think these changes will affect the experience?

So Like now EVERYONE in my school is lectura twilight when I read it like before they even started to film the movie. So what what's my point? Well, my point is that before before Breaking Dawn came out, when some was lectura the libros it was like tu would talk to them and tu would talk like you've been friends forever when you've just meet the person. Now I see someone lectura twilight and I eathier get tried of seeing them o get sick. Ok maybe not get sick but still tu can't talk to the person like tu used to talk to them, all enthusiastic and excited! And for me most of the time the real exciting stuff is in the movie and the people who read the libros nowa days don't know alot stuff about the movie. I believe that the people on the fansites are the REAL CRAZY fans, because if tu ask anybody else what Spunk Randsom means, they wouldn't know. Anyway i just feel like it's so not exciting anymore....

Charlie’s POV
As I stood watching my little girl, I felt overwhelmingly angry. I knew it was unfounded,
Bella loved Edward más then I’d ever seen anyone amor anyone, and it was obvious from the way he looked at her now that he loved her back, possibly even more. No, I was angry because I didn’t want to see her hurt and, and… oh who was I kidding. I was going to miss my little girl. I’d always loved her, it broke my corazón when her mother took her away, but I had to stay and take care of my parents, and por the time they passed away, it was too late. And then...

OH MY GOD!!! I got this news from a friend telling me to go to stepheniemeyer.com so I did and this is for all of those who don't know yet:

Movie News Flash!

So, many of tu have heard that the release of the sixth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been moved from this Thanksgiving to siguiente summer. First and foremost, please know that this schedule change has absolutely nothing to do with Twilight, me, o Summit Films (so enough with the imdb death wishes, okay?). This is Warner Bros. decision, and it was not motivated por anything Twilight-related.

Now for the good...

I am stunt. I cannot believe what the “supposedly” Twilight fans are saying about the last book of the saga, Breaking Dawn. When I first finished lectura the novel I was so grateful and thankful of Stephenie Meyer. She has giving us the best amor story ever written. But as I was searching the net for the opinion of other fans I was shocked. The majority of the people didn’t like the book. They are saying horrible things about Meyer. Oka…One thing is to criticize the novel with a perspective point of view and another thing is insulting and disrespecting Stephenie Meyer.

Belward romance won't be possible if their actors don't have the chemistry it takes to portray it. I'm one of those group of fans who hope that KrisRob will start dating. No offense to Kristen's boyfriend but seriously...I could just nosebleed over and over whenever I watch videos of them being interviewed and bonding over "Last Tango in Paris" (a movie which is so sexual erotic that it's just hard to believe they watched that together as 'co-workers' only.) Does anybody else agree that this two can make such an adorable couple? Wishful thinking is heartbreaking.

These are just some observations;...

TWILIGHT - chapter 18 - THE HUNT

A few minutos passed in silence, other than the roar of the engine. Then Edward spoke again.
"This is how it's going to happen. When we get to the house, if the tracker is not there, I will walk her to the door. Then she has fifteen minutes." He glared at me in the rearview mirror. "Emmett, tu take the outside of the house. Alice, tu get the truck. I'll be inside as long as she is. After she's out, tu two can take the Jeep inicial and tell Carlisle."
"No way," Emmett broke in. "I'm with you."
"Think it through, Emmett. I don't know how long...
