Chapter 41: Full Circle
I was absolutely exhausted from the strain of the past few days Jake had carried me through the streets of Volterra. As soon as we were on the plane I felt my drowsiness overtake me I wanted to stay up and pregunta him about what had happened to him, Seth and Leah; but I slept for the extent of the trip. Although I was half-asleep, I could hear excited voices around me. Some of the covens had returned with us in order to celebrate our success. They were discussing the high points of our victory. My grandfather was going on about Aunt Rose, “That was amazing Rosalie. I have never heard of a mature vampire suddenly developing a power. What happened?” My Aunt Rosalie’s voice was soft, “I don’t know when I saw my daughter in pain something snapped, I literally saw red I was so angry.” Aunt Bella spoke up, “That’s what happened to me with my shield when I pushed it out as far as I could the first time I fought against the Volturi over Renesmee. Something about having your child targeted…” My grandfather agreed, “I am sure that has everything to do with it. My theory that we bring our gifts from human life to this life applies. tu always wanted to be a mother Rosalie; it is something tu felt very strongly about it is only natural tu would protect it. It makes sense that it would be the trigger of the gift that tu have.” I felt a hand on my leg, absently rubbing it. My father spoke up, “Without a doubt the estrella of the día was Jacob. That was risky, but impressive. I don’t know how else we would have gotten the girls away from him.” My grandfather spoke again, “Thankfully tu all showed up right at the perfect moment. Thank tu for coming to our aid again Tanya and all of you.” Tanya answered him warmly, “No thanks are in order, we are family Carlisle. If they want tu they have to get through us.” The conversation continued as my grandfather went down the line thanking everyone involved. “If it wasn’t for Nahuel we never would have gotten out alive. “ I heard Naheul’s unsure voice, “I am so sorry for all the trouble I have caused. I truly feel horrible about Amore.” My grandfather reassured him, “It is alright we know it was Alec controlling you.” My uncle Emmett snarled, “Someday I will rip Alec’s head off.” Seth joined in, “you and me both.” The attention turned back to Nahuel. Amore spoke up, “I am sorry about your family. What are tu going to do now?” He answered quietly, “I’m not sure.” My grandmother spoke up, “Nahuel why don’t tu stay with us. We have plenty of room. Carlisle and I can pose as your foster parents.” I could hear the smile ring through in his answer, “I have never belonged to a large coven before.” My grandfather responded, “Welcome, Nahuel. We are happy to have tu we are deeply grateful for what tu have done.” Nahuel directed his attention to Amore, “that is if tu don’t mind me being here.” Amore’s tiny voice rang through the room, “I know it wasn’t you. It was Alec, after spending so many days with him I can tell. Welcome Nahuel.” I felt myself waking up more, so I gave in and stretched, when I opened my eyes I was on the sofá at my grandparent’s house with Jake sitting at my feet watching me worriedly. “Hey, she’s up,” he called. My parents came over to me immediately, “Nessie, baby are tu ok?” My mother inquired. I sat up slowly, “Yea, I’m fine I was just so tired.” The events of the past few days came rushing back to me and I sat for a moment trying to process them all. But I was blinded por glimmering light I looked up and noticed that it was the sun dancing on Jacob’s skin that was no longer the deep russet color it always had been. The undertone was there still, it was just a milkier version and the sun reflected off of it in a million directions. My Jacob. He had made the biggest sacrifice out of anyone in order to save me and Amore. I turned to him, “What did tu do?” He smiled at me sadly, “It was the only way that I could come after tu Renesmee.” I couldn’t envolver, abrigo my mind around the sacrifice he had made. I looked up and noticed that Seth, Amore and Leah were sitting on one of the other couches. My eyes welled up with tears, “you all were changed too.” I whispered. They nodded, “Seth, I understand tu doing it for Amore, but Leah… why? tu aren’t exactly fond of vampires.” She smiled at me, “I had to follow my pack, and we had to save my future family.” She smiled shyly at Amore and then looked back at me. Her smile widened even more, “Plus, tu stinky vampiros are starting to grow on me.” I noticed that Nahuel stood behind her with his hands on her shoulders. She looked up and smiled at him, in the same way that Jacob smiles at me and Seth smiles at Amore. “Hmmm, odd”, I thought to myself. I put that in the back of my mind to investigate later. There were bigger problems to worry about. I turned to Jake wide eyed, “but your father, Sue, Sam, the others.” He looked me in the eye, “I don’t care Renesmee; they don’t matter. tu are all that matters to me.” I felt tears sliding down my cheeks as I absorbed what he was telling me, “Jacob Black, tu traded your very existence for me?” He brushed my cheek with his hand wiping my tears away, “it was nothing.” I laughed through my tears, “you are amazing.” He smiled speaking of amazing, I had a little talk with your father before we left for Italy. He got down onto one knee. My aunt Alice squealed in the background, I suddenly became lightheaded I couldn’t believe what was happening. “Renesmee Carlie Cullen, in many ways tu saved my life. tu gave me a purpose; yes my human life has ended. Yet a new one has begun that is completely different than anything I ever would have expected. It is a million times better because of you. I promise that I will amor tu forever; I will protect you, and be there for you. I amor you, please be my wife.” I couldn’t breathe the tears were rushing down my cheeks. He had dado everything up for me, and now he offered me all that he had left. He held out a beautiful ring it was a very unique stone like nothing I had ever seen, he smiled at me, “it was my mother’s ring. Please say yes, marry me.” He whispered. I nodded and placed my hand on his cheek, I knew my voice wouldn't work so I let my mind do the talking, "Yes of course." I whispered only for him to hear. The smile lit up his radiant face, he had always been unnaturally handsome but in his new vampiric form he was so breathtaking that it was unbearable. It was like his human form was comparable to looking at a picture of a person in which the picture didn’t do the person justice. Seeing the person in real life tu notice how breathtakingly clearer they come across. Jacob’s human form did not do him any justice. He was the most beautiful man I had ever laid eyes on and now it was merely magnified. He loved me, he wanted me. Forever. He scooped me up in his arms and swung me around as our lips met. It was a kiss of passion, of deep happiness, and also one of longing we had been separated for so long not knowing if we would ever see each other again and now forever was spread out in front of us. Bursts of applause and laughter filled the room. I pulled away from Jacob my cheeks flushed and warm with embarrassment. Out of habit, my eyes searched for my parents, almost fearing their reaction. They were in the corner smiling, they looked so happy. Jacob set me down and I walked over to them and my father hugged me, “My little girl,” I looked at him curiously, “why aren’t tu furious?” He looked at me seriously, “I haven’t seen two people so in amor since your mother and I. I have been watching Jacob with tu for a long time. He is good for you; he has always put your well being ahead of anything else. What he did to help save you… we wouldn’t have tu back had it not been for him. His presence and Seth and Leah’s disturbed the Volturi. They are one of the reasons that we were all released.” his voice broke. Once he regained control he continued, “I know that he will take care of tu as well as I ever could. Be happy my daughter, I amor you.” I hugged him tightly, “Thank tu daddy, I amor you.” I looked over at Jake and smiled at him, he was getting congratulated my Uncles and Grandfather, but he met my gaze and stared at me until I looked away. I went to my mother next; she looked as though she would cry if she could, “My Renesmee,” she whispered, “so grown up, I know that tu will be very happy together.” I hugged her and she kissed my cheek. My Aunt Alice flitted up to me next, “I get to plan another wedding!” She squealed, “I am so in charge of your dress!” I laughed at her as she hugged me and ran off to start planning. Jake found his way back to me and put his arms around me, just then Seth and Amore came up to us, “Amore , will tu be my maid of honor?” I asked her shyly. She smiled and nodded, “I would amor to.” Jake turned to Seth answering a pregunta that wasn’t spoken aloud, “yes, tu are my best man.” He dicho with mock annoyance. Seth grinned at him. Leah came up to me with Nahuel at her heels, “Congratulations guys she dicho as she hugged us both. “Hey Dog,” Aunt Rosalie dicho with narrowed eyes, Jake looked at her apprehensively, “what’s up Blondie?” Her face broke into a gigantic smile, “I don’t care if tu are one of us now tu will always be a dog to me,” Jake laughed out loud, “and tu will always be a bloodsucker,” She went up and hugged him tightly. “Thank tu for what tu have done. Thanks to you, Seth and Leah I have my girls back.” She turned to Seth and looked down in shame, “I owe tu a very big apology.” Her golden eyes were full of discomfiture as they slowly met his crimson ones, “What happened to Amore was never your fault. It was so wrong of me to put that on you, I was just so mad at myself for not being there…” her voice broke. Seth smiled at her, “It’s ok, don’t worry about it.” She smiled at him and kissed his cheek. “Thank tu for saving my daughter in más ways than tu will ever know.” siguiente she came up to me and kissed my cheeks, "I remember holding tu when tu were first born and now look at you.” Seth smiled at Amore, “Hey maybe we should make this a double wedding.” My aunt’s attention snapped to him, “Oh no, don’t tu go running off with my daughter just yet, I just got her back!” Her tone was one of playfulness. Tanya , Zafrina and many of the friends who had now saved my life twice came up and hugged me and wished Jake and I well. My grandfather smiled happily, “Well it seems we will be having all of tu back here soon enough for a wedding.” All of our guests laughed and then Jake pulled me outside. “Race ya” I told him. I took off listening to him yell after me, “you are always going to be a cheater aren’t you.” He caught up with me and grabbed me. We were in a clearing in the woods all alone. “I told tu I would make it work,” he smiled at me. I looked at him unable to control myself any longer as I threw myself at him. It was nice to not have to worry what my father would think o about being too rough with Jake; he was now just as strong as I was. The force of it knocked him onto his back. I was on parte superior, arriba of him besar him ardently as he ran his fingers through my hair. “I can’t believe this is really happening,” I dicho breathlessly. He pulled me closer to him and kissed me urgently, “I know,” he dicho between kisses. I looked at him hesitantly, “Are tu sure that tu really want to spend forever with me?” He looked at me with absolute certainty, “I have never been surer of anything.” I looked at him curiosity flickering in my eyes, “What is going on with Leah and Nahuel. It’s like she has the mind control over him that Alec had.” Jake chuckled. “You are very close. Are tu ready for a funny story?” I looked at him in confusion. He continued, “Once upon a time there was female lobo shape shifter. She hated everything involved with vampiros and then one día she turned into one in order to save some very important friends.” I looked down sadly, guilt washing over me. He brought my gaze back to his, “The irony of the story is that once her corazón stopped beating it actually became fuller of life than it had ever been while it was beating. It was then that she managed to imprint on another vampire. They fell madly in love. The end.” I gasped. “You’re kidding!” He rolled his eyes, “Nessie, do tu think I could make up something that ridiculous?” I smiled as I pondered the thought of Leah and Nahuel. It was odd but somehow it made perfect sense. They both came from places of heartache. They would heal together. I turned to Jake distracted again. “Wait tu are vampiros now how is she imprinting?” He patiently explained it to me, “Carlisle says we are a new race of super vampiros so to speak. We have maintained all of our lobo abilities we can phase and imprint. We can still speak to each other in our minds the only difference is that we can do it at all times not just when we are in lobo form...” He winced, “that is not my favorito! part of this new life. At least back then I could get away from Seth and Leah’s bickering when I was in human form.” He rolled his eyes. “We changed into vampiros within 10 hours and were very controlled from the minuto we awoke. We are stronger than any vampire that your grandfather has ever seen.” I sucked in a breath, “So that is what my father meant when he dicho tu are the reason that we were released.” Jake nodded. “Aro saw it in your father’s memory; he was curious but knew that we could wipe them out easily; especially when tu add your mother and Nahuel’s shields into the equation. Let alone all of the other gifts of the members of your family and the other covens who stood with us.” I thought for a moment, “It’s not over with the Volturi is it?” He shrugged, “No one knows,” his eyes darkened, “but we will be ready if it happens again, don’t worry about it, ok? Don’t let them ruin this for us.” I looked at him sadly, “I cannot believe that tu did this for me.” He smiled, “Everything that I do is for tu Renesmee. I would make the same decision over and over again if I had to in order to be with you. I don’t think tu understand how much I amor you.” He whispered as he took my face in his hands. I smiled as I looked into his eyes. “I have an inkling as to how much.” I whispered. He brought his lips to my mine and gently brushed them together. I lost myself in the kiss knowing that from now on everything would be just right; we had all come full circle. Everyone was paired up; the Cullen coven was now an even 14. We were all happy and safe. My aunt was no longer childless and my best friend had a mother, father and loving family for the first time. Nahuel finally had a father that he could be proud of as well as a mother to nurture him. We had many más friends than enemies and for now we were stronger than the Volturi. Lastly and most importantly Jacob was mine and my parents approved. The perfection of the moment took me over as I sighed contentedly, leading the gentle kiss to turn into an urgent one as Jake responded hungrily. Sure we had our problems the Quileute’s, the Volturi but then who doesn't? I decided to listen to my fiancés advice. Nothing was going to ruin the flawlessness of this moment. We had forever to work out all of the rest.
