Chapter Three

    “ Hello there, Wendi. Would tu like to sit with us today?”, Colleen dicho in a sweet beautiful voice. I nodded and sat, too amazed to speak. Jacob spoke next. “ Cat got your tongue?”, he teased. I smiled and blushed. “Leave her alone, Jacob. tu are too scary for her to talk to you. Just listen to how fast her corazón is going.”, Leo said. Colleen gave him a sharp look and he was silent.
    I had no clue what they meant but they were slightly weird. As I thought this, Carmen sneered and giggled. “ Shut it, Carmen.”, Colleen said. “ Wendi, would tu like to be my first friend here?”, she asked. “ Um.. Sure, that would be great. Colleen grinned from ear to ear, just like a Cheshire cat. I looked at Stefan and he was smiling, too. They were all smiling, mostrando their fangs. Carmen drew in a short breath. Was she lectura my mind o something? Every time I dicho anything like fangs o mind reading, she tightened up and clenched her jaw. Once again, weird.
    The campana rang and I noticed that I had forgotten to eat. Apparently, so had they. Another short breath from Carmen.
