oh yeah, lol it's the only show i watch where i've seen fans actually get vicious

theres a small minority of hardcore bangel fans that refuse to believe a spuffy storyline* and one fan actually punched one of the writers over it

*for those buffy fans i'm referencing what spike was trying to achieve when he went to the demon trials at the end of season 6, the bangel fan wouldn't believe that he wasn't going to get the chip out

i am talking a serious minority thought accept for having bad taste ;P most bangel fans are cool

The debates over Leyton vs. Brucas can get nasty, and since most fans are 100% dedicated to their couple, there aren't that many fans that are a fan of both. I wonder how many times I have answered the question in the One Tree Hill Spot of "Who should Lucas be with?"

Brucas vs. Leyton is the most vicious couple debate on fanpop, but since the question didn't specify I'd say Bangel vs. Spuffy is the biggest debate overall. Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been over for 5 years, yet the fight is still going strong because there hasn't been a couple resolution. Whereas I think by the time One Tree Hill is over, we'll know for sure who Lucas ends up with so it won't be a mystery. Of course, even then, people will still argue :]

I was just waiting for someone to add it so I didn't have to. Though most of us here try not to be viscious, it's not always that way in other forums.

I know what your talking about debs. One even got into an argument with a writer, he kept insisting that Spike went to get his chip out instead of the soul, and the writer got so pissed he screamed, "I wrote the d*** episode, I should know."

Personally, I don't think Joss is ever going to resolve that Spuffy/Bangel thing, because he know's most of his fan base is split up between us, he even said that himself.

yup georgiapeach Leyton vs. Brucas gets really, really nasty sometimes. I've never seen opposing fans meet face to face, and that leaves me to wonder what would happen if they did meet (I imagine violence would be involved). I'm a Leyton shipper, but I have nothing against Brucas. I'm one of those rare fans that like both. And I think the One Tree Hill spot is the spot with the biggest problem of repeat picks. It's to the point where it's ridiculous, sometimes a question is repeated just after 2 picks.

I love the Bangel vs. Spuffy debate on fanpop because fans have really strong opinions, but there's no childish name calling and almost everyone gets along. There's the occasional statement of just "Bangel forever" or "Spuffy forever" but mostly everything is well argued and supported. Although outside of fanpop there are quite a few blogs and forums where Bangel vs. Spuffy gets nasty as well.

yes, my mum is deluded and honestly thinks that they will get back together before season 7 is up, ahh the simple minds of bangelers lol (sorry i can't help it, you know i love all buffy fans... well nearly all not the one nika mentioned above)

I actually use to stay away from the Spuffy and Bangel fights before I joined fanpop, cause they all got so viscious and I would get so mad. The only time I couldn't was when I would see Bangels (no offense to any Bangels, this probably happens on your vid's to) start wars of Spuffy videos on youtube.

OK. While I think that the Leyton vs. Brucas war is more heated, I think Bangel vs. Spuffy is a lot more fun. People seem to just get mad in the OTH spot. In the Buffy spot things stay fairly civil... most of the time anyway.

Actually Nika, she said she wants me to come over and bring the DVDs with me. But she lives kinda far away and it's such a long running show, and I would want to start her over from the beginning. We just haven't found the time to do it yet.

Omg deffo the LP vs BL debate! It's been going on since S1 and now that S5 tells who might be end game, it's still going on. Half of the fans picks are related to LP vs BL even the ones that aren't LP/BL related, it still will turn into a LP vs. BL debate, i love to debate and defend my couple (LP=]), but sometimes it just gets out of control to the point were the fans start calling eachother names. It's sad.

When I read this question, before I even saw the choices my mind went straight to Spuffy vs. Bangel. I will aknowledge the greatness of the Brucas/Leyton debate, but with Spuffy vs. Bangel its not just who is better for Buffy Spike and Angel are enemies so that debate gets even bigger. PS. I anyone wants my oppion, even more than I have given already, put me down for Spike. I don't really have an oppinion on the brucas leyton thing.

I completely agree with what people have been saying about Spuffy vs Bangel being generally a civil fight. I think maybe we've argued to the point where most people know that they aren't going to change their minds now and they can respect the reasons why the other side ships that way.
Brucas and Leyton is big, but honestly I just don't care anymore. I used to be Brucas, but then it was like on again, off again and I pretty much just ended up hating Lucas for not making up his mind. It was irritating having him be like Brooke, you're the one for me, I'll never want anyone else and then oh wait, Peyton YOU'RE the one I want, it's always been you. Make up your freaking mind. So now I flat out don't care--> Naley forever. :p haha

Here's a Buffy/Angel fan that isn't vicious. Yes, I disagree with the Buffy/Spike fans, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am a total Buffy/Angel freak. Of all the relationships on television, Buffy/Angel is my all time favorite and always will be. I love them.

This one's a pretty big debate in my opinion.
