Well, I'm sorry to say, but Lilith is dead. And nothing can change that. :(
It's obvious how the director focuses on Abel's and Esther's relationship. He made Esther more open with her romantic feelings towards Abel, but Abel unclear about his. He seems to see her more as a partner or maybe even a daughter figure, to many of fans. But to me, I just see it because he probably knows himself that this relationship would not stand straight, so he just pushed all his feelings aside. It's probably not even the first time he falls in love with a human girl, so he's probably used to hiding his true feelings by now. But since Esther is already put up on screen, also as the main character, it's really obvious the director was planning to get them together.
And also, notice that Esther and Lilith have red hair? And notice that in the novels (Which is the original) Lilith was Abel's lover? Why would they bring up Esther AND give her red hair like the woman Abel loved? Hm? ;)
Of course, there's always the fact that Abel will live like for eternity and Esther will grow old and die. Well it was obvious that the director was also focusing on their relationship, so it could always be that Esther gets turned into a vampire or something... I mean all anime have twists and unexpected parts. Heck, Abel can even turn human, for all we know.
