Episode 26: The Valiente Engine

Thomas: *Pulling Annie & Clarabel down his branchline*
Annie: What a beautiful day.
Clarabel: Yes, there's so many passengers coming to ride down our line.
Thomas: We are the most important passenger train on this whole railway. *Spots a red signal* Looks like I gotta stop. *Applies his brakes*
Annie: Why is our signal red?
Thomas: I guess we'll know soon enough. *Stops*

Another engine appeared in front of Thomas. She entered a siding to refill on water.

Thomas: tu must be new here. Welcome to the Island of Sodor.
Zoe: I came from the Island of Errol. I heard tu had a friend who used to work here before joining the Eastern Pacific.
Thomas: Sean, the Amtrak diesel. How's he doing?
Zoe: I wouldn't know. I rarely see him.
Thomas: Aw. What brings tu to my branchline?
Zoe: I arrived from Knapford harbor, and now I'm going to Knapford station to bring a mail train to the mainland.
Thomas: Good luck. I got passengers to deliver. *Goes forward*
Zoe: *Watching Thomas with his coaches* He's a nice tank engine.

Zoe arrived at Knapford, but the train wasn't ready.

Zoe: *Couples up to a mail car, and a brake van*
Conductor: What do tu mean it won't arrive until tomorrow?
Mailman: The camioneta, van broke down, and we don't have enough to make the delivery. I'm sorry. *Rides away on his bicycle*
Conductor: *Returns to Zoe* Bad news, you're stuck here until tomorrow. Wait in the yards, the mail camioneta, van will arrive with your cargo.
Zoe: Yes sir.

Rooster: *Crowing*
Narrator: good morrrrrnin'. Gooda morrrrrning!!!! Ah yes, it's a good morning, but all the trains are asleep. And asleep, means they're asleep.
Zoe: *Wakes up, and yawns*
Narrator: Good morning Zoe.
King's Men: Come on everybody if tu wanna hear, the story all about the Valiente engine. Zoe is that engine's name, and a highlight reel has won her fame.
Mailman: *Putting mail from his camioneta, van into the baggage car*
King's Men: Here she comes, here she comes, here she comes. Are tu ready?
Zoe: *Blows her whistle twice*
King's Men: Ready to start for the big, mainland!
Zoe: *Slipping* Yes. *Blushing* Yes! *Blowing lots of steam* YES!!
Conductor: *Holds on as the train accelerates from 0 to 50*
Narrator: They're off!
Zoe: *Goes so fast, she makes Sir Topham Hatt's parte superior, arriba hat fall off*
Narrator: They're off!
Signalman: *Sweating as he sees the fast mail train*
Narrator: HEEEELP!!!!
King's Men: Out on the junction, out on the fly, the engine had that look in her eye, the brakeman knew he was in for a ride. The engine pulling his train was Zoe.
Signalman: *Switching switches down the mainline*
King's Men: Here comes Zoe! Yes, here she here she here she here she comes!
Zoe: *Passes two trains that just cleared the diamonds*
Narrator: Egad! Haha!
Signalman: *Marks Zoe as on time*
Narrator: Didn't think we'd make it, did you?
Signalman: *Faints*
Zoe: *Whistling while she pulls her train* Wait a minute, that's what I have this for. *Stops whistling, and blows her whistle twice*
Narrator: Ah yes, it's a beautiful day.
Zoe: *Goes into a storm*
Narrator: What the?!
King's Men: The rain had been pouring for 5 o 6 weeks. The railroad track was like the cama of a creek, it slowed her down to a 10 mile gate, and it made the mainland mail exactly 8 hours late!
Zoe: *Slipping up a colina out of the water, then submerges back into the water*
King's Men: Here comes Zoe, slagging through the water!

King's Men: Here comes Zoe, sliding through the mud! Here comes Zoe. Sliding through the ah, ah, choo!
Zoe: *Goes up a hill, then sneezes as she comes to a stop*

The engine proceeded to shoot water out of her funnel, then shake más water off herself like a dog.

Narrator: Take off the brakes! Train's got the shakes.
Zoe: *Spots a clock, and realizes she's late*
Narrator: Egad!
Zoe: *Slips as she gets her train moving again*
King's Men: Hour's behind there isn't time to fret! Keep puffing, and chuffing girl, don't give up yet! tu gotta keep schedule, tu gotta keep schedule, tu better look out Zoe!
Zoe: *Sees a cow, and applies her brakes*
Cow: *Stares at Zoe blowing her whistle*
Narrator: What now brown cow?
Cow: *Chooing on the grass*
Zoe: Get out of the way! Go back to your mate! tu old cow, tu old cow, tu old cow!!
Cow: *Walks off the tracks*
Narrator: Well, how authorized.
Zoe: *Goes from 0 to 75 in a second*
Narrator: Pasteurized!
King's Men: Make up schedule, do not fail! tu gotta get to Londres with the mainland mail! Gotta get to London. Gotta get to London. Gotta get to London. Gotta get to London.
Diesel: *Pushing Paxton out of a siding*
Narrator: Somebody's on the wrong track!
Zoe: *Blows her whistle twice* I'll save you!
Paxton: Oh no! Please help me!
Zoe: *Uses her cowcatcher to make Paxton fly on parte superior, arriba of her baggage car*
Paxton: My hero!
Diesel: Curses....Foiled again!
Zoe: *Drops off Paxton at a freight depot*
Narrator: Well whadaya know? He-mail!
King's Men: Zoe knew she was going too fast! She ran through the station way too fast! She says she has important mail to haul, cuz she steams a lot better than I ever knew!
Bandit: *Putting dynamite on a bridge*
Narrator: Uh oh. He who wrecks a train on a hillside is not on the level.
Bandit: *Gets off the bridge*
Zoe: *Gets on the bridge as it explodes*
Narrator: Going down!
Zoe: *Puffs up the cliff with her train, and slips when she gets to the top. She slides backwards, and slips again as she gets to the top* Nnnnnn!! Almost there! *She slides backwards, and slips again as she gets to the top* Made it at last. *Sees another clock at 4 AM*
Narrator: Egad!!
King's Men: Zoe opened her throttle just as far as it would go, then had her whistle make an awful shrill. Whoo, whoo, whoo!! She blew through the tunnels like a bullet from a gun, and became the fastest train I've ever known!

Zoe: *Charging downhill at 200 miles an hour*
Conductor: *Looks behind the train. They're going so fast that the rails are on fire*
Narrator: And what has we here? A doubleheader!
Donald & Douglas: *Pulling 30 freight cars*
Narrator: On the same line as Zoe!
Conductor: I've got to do something!! *Runs toward Zoe* hola Zoe, here comes a freight!
Zoe: Huh?
Conductor: I dicho here comes a freight!
Zoe: Don't worry, we won't be late!
Donald: Losh sakes!
Douglas: What's wrong?
Donald: Look in front of us!! *Blows his whistle*
Douglas: *Blows his whistle*
Conductor: *Pointing at the Scottish twins* Just look, look look!
Zoe: So what?!
Conductor: So long!
Zoe: *Looks at the conductor, than the Scottish twins* Egad!! *Crashes into the Scottish twins*

King's Men: Through early morning fog I see, nothing good, oh this can't be. There is no train coming for me. I guess I'll have to wait, and see.
Conductor: *Sadly walks towards a chalkboard, and erases Zoe's name from the arrival board*
King's Men: Tis a sad día for London. No mail will be coming. Oh this is a sad día for fair London.
Conductor: *Sits on a bench, and sheds a tear from his right eye*
King's Men: Oh this is a sad día for fair London.

Conductor: *Smiles*
King's Men: Zoe? Is she gonna make it.
Narrator: If that's Zoe with her poni, pony express, then well....Mission accomplished.
Zoe: *Missing 2 driving wheels, her tender, and her cab* I made it. *Falls over with the baggage car, and brake van*
Conductor: *Looks at his watch* And on time too.
