tu get other clothes and hairstyles with expansion packs but tu can download some of them at sites like Sims2.com / Simsresorce.com /Modthesims2.com where most of the downloads are free. :)
While in the neighborhood, type in "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" (without the quotes). Then go into Create a Sim, and type a capital N where tu would normally enter the sim's name. Hidden hairstyles, skin tones, and outfits will now be available.
