What to say about this one? Did we need it? Did we ask for it? Not really.

But I watched it finally and now I can say... it was OK. The visual effects here are phenomenal just like Favreau’s anterior take at The Jungle Book. There’s also rare little moments of fresh storytelling that help differ this movie from the original, even if only about ten o twenty minutos worth.

I also had several problems. Like I dicho above, there are a few moments that differ but en general, general this is the exact same story from scene to scene just about. That includes many lines of dialogue taken straight from the superior 1994 original.
The actuación also was a mixed bag for me. Nobody was bad o terrible, but they mostly sounded bored like they didn’t want to be there. This upset me because even the great Mufasa sounded this way, James Earl Jones.
Personally I thought Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner’s Pumbaa and Timon had the best personalities out of the entire film and actually seemed to have fun with it.

The Lion King (2019) was what I figured it’d be. Not a great movie por a long shot but not terrible either. The visuals are amazing but they’re also the only REAL reason this one stands out from the original. I give it a C.

When the film was released there was a stir in Japan. The film was very similar to the well known anime series 'Kimba the White Lion'. First there is the obvious similarity in names (Simba and Kimba). Also, both had a babuino as a shaman. But the similarities don't end there, both had an evil uncle - 'Scar' in the movie and 'Claw' in the series - as well as henchman hyenas. Plus a pose por a king on a rock. The possible lawsuit was dropped, because Osamu Tezuka's (the producer's) widow dicho that he would have been flattered that disney was inspired por the series.

The film's original opening was...
