Holy Hephaestus! It's the fifth H of O article!!!! Wow, that means I've been at this for five weeks!!! Time flys when tu have something to talk about! Speaking of time, we have just under 3 months until The heroes of Olympus: The lost Hero is released in the U.S. Now on to the matter at hand.

There has been a lot of buzz about the names in the new series, and speculations about their meanings. Do the meanings and origins really have anything to do with the character and the story, o were they picked randomly? Well, as per my normal, I've researched the names, and come up with some really interesting information.

The first name on o lista is Butch. Butch is a camper at Camp Half Blood and most likely a son of Iris. He shows up with Annabeth at the end of the segundo chapter. His name is más typically a nickname. It's longer form is Butcher...yes as in the guy who cuts up the meat in the deli. Now, there are some interesting little facts.

Butch used to be a derogitory term for a stranger. People would seriously fight back in the día if someone called them that! There is only one person I can think of that was famous and named Butch...well, actually, imfamous is más like it. Butch Cassidy. He was an outlaw in the time of saloons, spitoons, and Sasperilla. But, here's the catch, the Wild Wild West baddie's real name wasn't Butch it was Leroy, which means "The King"

The siguiente name on my lista is Jason, of course. I think we all know (thank tu HecateA) that his name means "healer." But, did tu know that it is the anglized form of Iason which comes from the greek word iasthai? Iasthai is "to heal" when translated. I don't think that this name's meaning is going to have any bearing on the story, though, because like with Percy (Perseus) I think that Mr. Riordan is using another hero as the namesake (Jason of the Argonauts.) The Jason from the Argonautica was an amazing hero, who went in buscar of the Golden Fleece, but that's a story for another article.

Name number three is Piper. It is of Scandinavian and Old English origins. It literally means "One who plays the pipes." So, will that be the meaning used in the story? I'm not so sure. There is a children's tale about a piper who comes to a town to rid them of rats. He plays his pipes, o his flute in some retellings, and lures the rats out of the village and into a river/lake. After effectively ridding the citizens' major pest problem, he then asks for his pay. The villagers refuse to pay him and send him away. Angry about the injustice, the piper went back to the town while everyone was asleep(or in church according to some people) and enticed the children out of the town and into the mountains. He then sealed the kids into a cave, and according to the más adult version of the story, only two of the kids survived.

Now, I know your thinking that that's a bit morbid, but when I hear Piper that is what I think of. Maybe Piper, assuming that the camp for some reason needs to mover the inexperienced demigods away from camp, is the person chosen to lead the campers where they need to go. Or, on a morose note, maybe she trades sides and ends up being the Mistress' henchman, and the Mistress charges her with the task of enticing demigods to registrarse them. Either way it goes, I think that somehow o another Piper is named for the Pied Piper and The lost Hero o the series as a whole will somehow relate to o reflect the story of the Pied Piper.

The last name we are going to explore today is my favourite. Leo. Well, first off we know that there is a zodiac sign called Leo (mine, of course) and it is connected with fire, yet another indication of his father. I'm not going to state origins, because I'm not focusing on that. There are much más important matters that are involved in this name.

There have been plenty of famous Leos, but the one that is the most famous and respected is Leonardo Di Vinci. He, as everyone knows, was an inventor, scientist, artist, and mathmatician. He painted the Mona Lisa and he invented flying machines. I feel like, because of his innovations and inventions, that this is our Leo's namesake. There are also two other Leos that I've noted that are involved in the scientific community. Leo Baekeland was a Belgian chemist and inventor. He helped to bring about the Age of Plastic. The other scientist is Leo Szilard who is responsible for the conception of the Nuclear Chain Reaction, and worked on the Manhatten Project. The Manhatten Project was all about nuclear discoveries and the creation of nuclear weapons.

There is just one last thing I have to point out on the subject of the name Leo. Did tu ever watch that movie, The 300? Well, the event they chronical in that film actually happened! According to history, the Persians had taken over Ionian Greece and decided that they wanted to take over Greece proper, so they planned to invade. The Greecians had already sent out most of their armies (remember that Greece was made of city-states and each one had their own army and government.) Well, when they failed to stop the advancing Persians, they called in the advanced warriors. The Spartans were to lead, and the head of the Spartans was Leonidas. He was commanding 300 Spartans and close to 7000 men total if my memory serves me correctly.

So, they march off to Thermopylae (hot spot)to meet the Persians in battle, and after the first of many came to a close, the Greecians still stood tall. The persian ruler, Xerxe, watched as the greeks took victory for four days and didn't like it so he sent in the Persian elites called the Immortals. día after día they were overcome and it infuriated the Persians because the Greek army seemed ultimately impenatrable. Finally someone stepped up. Turns out this guy was a spy. The sneaky little comadreja told Xerxe about a little path that could be used to overcome the Greeks. It seemed that all was lost for the greeks, but the slimy, turn coat, flip- flopping, traitorous tattle tail felt guilty and went back to Leonidas. Just in the nick of time, he told him that the Persians were going to attack using the mountain pass. It was at that time that Leonidas ordered the army to leave, but the 300 Spartan warriors stayed with him. As his army fled the Persians came down on him and the 300 soldiers battled valiantly to the end, destroying many of the enemies, including two of Xerxe's brothers, and earning eternal respect.

Now I know tu think that Leonidas' name is where the connection stops, but not so! During WWII in the very same pass that the 300 fell, history repeated itself. Only this time, the Persians were the Germans and the Spartans were the British. So, the connections to WWII continue!

Well, there tu have it, there are so many interesting things tu can learn about one's name. Sometimes it changes the way tu see the character, and sometimes it makes something you've always known seem even más obvious. What role will the details I have provided play in the series? Will they even appear? We will get our answer in October when Rick Riordan finally lets us have The lost Hero.
I hope tu liked the article. Please head over to the link thread in the foros and leave your pick for siguiente week's article. Without your help my artículos wouldn't exist. If tu haven't already, become a fan of this spot. I'll see tu siguiente week for the sixth installment in my intriguing H of O articulo series.

Characters: Leonardo, Cleopatra, Matthew, Patricia, Jessica, and many más to come...

Sypnosis: Leonardo diMorena hated his life. Especially when his parents have sent him and his twin sister Cleopatra to the DaVinci Academy (a boarding school for children with supernatural gifts, which he definitely did not have). o so he thought....And, now, it's too late. The world is in the brink of chaos, and Leo and his friends are the only ones who can stop the one who had started it all--a psychopathic...

tu think it would taste horrible wouldn't you? They have two completely different tastes. But tu never know till tu try!
For those of tu who haven't caught on, mantequilla de maní gelatina, jalea And Cheese = PJ AC = Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase.
Now don't start rolling your eyes! Those of tu who think this is another Percabeth tribute - hold that thought.
Don't get me wrong, I amor Percabeth. I always will. They are so cute together though tu wouldn't think two people so different could be so perfect for each other! Just like Ron and Hermione.
But that's just the problem. They are so damn cute, we're way...

What? Elephants? Called Hannibal? (you may read every ‘Hannibal’ as ‘Peanut’ if tu really don’t like the name)
But it actually fits in with history. So today we’re going to talk about a lot of things, but the center of it all is going to be Hannibal!
Let’s get started!

Who brings an elefante to war?

Okay, so my friend Hannibal...

I lay down on a soft cama in the Minerva cabin- a cama I now call mine. We’d just arrived at the Roman Camp, and I hated it. Every single inch. But…was I just so agrio, agria because Percy didn’t remember? Jason remembered some things! But Percy was clueless....

Am I the only one who finished the book, then cursed at having to wait until siguiente fall, then went off theorising about book 2, the Son of Neptune?

If I'm not then good, if I am, then I'm used to it.

So anyways, the prophecy makes so much sense now because of the little snips from lost Hero! (hint: when I mention "snips from lost Hero, it means there will be spoilers. You've been warned)

First, tu may have forgotten the great prophecy. Well let's freshen that up (febreze! And the randomness begins...)

Seven Half-Bloods shall answer the call
To storm o to fuego the world must fall
An oath to keep...

Perseus Jackson.

Son of Poseidon.

Bearer of the curse of Achilles.

Child of the prophecy.

He had trouble everywhere he went. Bullies, annoying redheads,blood-thirsty cannibals, the usual. The prophecy is over, but the boy's still a demigod, he's still training at camp Half-Blod and heck, he's still Percy.

Talk that Percy will pass behind the veil, kick the bucket, push up daisies, o whatever tu want to call it is going around on this fan pcik of this spot:

Do tu think Percy Is going to die in one of the five libros sense he isn't the main character anymore?

Most think that Rick wouldn't have...

So this is my first article, which includes my theories on Rick Riordan's book, the lost Hero. Feel free to read an rate...

Jason - Obviously our new hero. Seems to be suffering from memory loss. After a bit of research, I decided that this could be caused por Mnemosyne. Zeus and her slept together to create the Nine Muses. However, she also "presides over a pool" in the underworld, which is like the River Lethe. The interesting bit? She's the Titaness of Memory, and those that drink from the River Lethe forget their past lives. Could she be the ‘mistress’?
As for his relationship with the...

Normally when tu get eletrocuted, it hurts. But Jason keeps on fighting the anemoi thuellai. What the Hades? Why? (forgive me if my theories are crazy)

1. Jason is Zeus' child. There is a whole lot of arguments for why Jason is not Zeus' child but Boreus' o whoever. Another argument I heard for why this does not mean anything, is that in Titan's curse, when thalia nearly gets hit por lightning, she's scared of it, so probably not lightning-resistant. But that's because thalia knows how powerful a bolt is, so she might've realised that it was too much for her to stand in that particular moment....

What a week!!! We've seen the new cover and we've gotten not one, but two new book synopsis'. Talk about information overload! I've sifted and surfed through the book descriptions for you, picking out the juicy bits of yummy goodness. That is to say, I've pulled out clues and I'm bringing my theories about our beloved Camp Halfblood, it's inhabitants, and (my favourite part) the fresa fields straight to you. Ok, so there aren't any strawberries, but there are some pretty good ideas....but tu can't eat thoughts, so if you're hungry, go grab a pack of Delphi fresa Co. strawberries...

Yeah, the possible deaths of our loved/not so loved characters.
There might be another lista of this in the articles, but this is with my own ideas this time. And maybe they don’t have the same characters I do? Plus, I saw a pregunta about it and made this so long it became an article.

So I give you, my epicly long lista of CONSPIRACY THEORIES:
