Percy's P.O.V
I walked down the streets of New York and thought sadly about my past. In the war with gods and demi-gods verses Gaea and her "team", all I could remember was cruelity, and blood. Many lives were lost and thousands were either maimed o fately injured. I, luckly had only a fatal injury, and many other smaller injuries. I thought bitterly, " Why was I saved, not Annabeth!" Annabeth saved me from Gaea's deathly blow. I remember the moment so vividly, it's almost it's happening now. I was gripping my sword in front of Mother Earth,(aka Gaea) I was about to lunge an atack when she summoned earth and hardened it, turning it into hard, sharp swords. She had an evil smile and lunged the sword directly at me. I widened my eyes, thinking what the pain would feel like and closed my eyes. I heard a scream of pain and heard the evil voice of Gaea say, "Well,well, your lover sacrificed herself to save you, well how stupid is that!" She snapped. "You're going to die anyway, so why sacrifice your own life for nothing?" "You're lying! Annabeth didn't do that!" I screamed, not even wanting to open my eyes. "No, Seaweed Brain, it's true," I heard Annabeth's weak voice say to me. I finally opened my eyes and cried as I saw Annabeth lying on the ground, blood around her. I crouched por her side and asked,sobbing,"Why, why did tu save me?" "Because I amor you," and with that, she closed her eyes, which where never going to open again. Gaea laughed, dicho something about that being so stupid and all, but I didn't listen, for I was so angry, all I heard was my blood pumping in my ears. "You, Gaea, will pay for killing my love!" I rushed toward her and... I stopped and continued walking. I looked up to the sound of the arbusto, bush shaking.
