It’s really cool what you did, but how can Flash 1×23 Fast Enough be possibly before Arrow 3×23 My Name is Oliver Queen?
The Flash is in My Name is Oliver Queen and tells Felicity that he can’t help further because he has to deal with his Harrison problem. That’s pretty much what 1×23 of The Flash is about and after that … I don’t want to spoil you if you haven’t seen it …
Oh okay. Great! Thanks. I know 1×18 of The Flash was out of sync due to a scheduling mishap. I was under the impression it pushed the chronology back a bit. Will fix.
Cool :) it’s a lot of effort you put into it, so little mistakes can happen. Thank you for doing this either way!
Btw, Rouge Air goes after This Is Your Sword. At the end of rogue air, firestorm, flash, and arrow team up against reverse flash. This is your sword, which is listed after rouge air in this list, is supposed to be before because Arrow is still is nanda parbat
My question is if the plane Oliver is on is the same plane the Flash saw crash… because it seemed like it should be…
If you’re talking about Rogue Air, that was a plane dispatched by A.R.G.U.S. I assume you’re also referring to the plane that appears in the Arrow Season Finale? If that’s the case, note that Oliver only asked Flash for a favor at the END of Rogue Air, alluding to his brief appearance in the Arrow finale. So definitely two different planes.
so the arrow finale def takes place before the flash?
Totes. I’m kind of glad the air dates got skewed for that one.
I think episode A3x22 and F1x22 should be inversely. Why? Becouse in Flash 1×22 we see Oliver in Central city but he can’t go there in/after episode 3×22 he must go there before.
The thing about this is that my viewing habits tend to involve recording shows in bulk and then catching up with them all at once. Which means I have to make sure I’m in the right place for synchronicity. But it’s more fun that way.
Just fyi: I nominated you for a Versatile Blogger Award
Ah, thank you so much! I’m glad you like my blog!
Of course! Your blog is one of the best sources for comic-related stuff (for lack of better word since you cover everything in that universe). Also your book reviews are great!

Hey. I’m watching Arrow and Flash following your order, and I noticed that episode 17 of Arrow takes place before The Flash ep. 18. In Flash ‘All Star Team Up’ Rey already knows that Oliver is the Arrow and his Atom suit is damaged from the events of Arrow ep. 17.
Is’ ok. I just hope the rest of the order is right.
I was following the order of events based on when each episode was released and that was all screwed. So in changing it up I must have forgotten that. Thanks for bringing it up. If you find any other errors, please do let me know.
I watched The Flash 1×18 before Arrow 3×18 according to your viewing order, but it doesn’t add up. I think this is the right sequence:
Arrow 3×17 – Ray Palmer’s A.T.O.M. Exosuit is damaged during the altercation with Arrow. The episode ends with Felicity about to be shot by Maseo.
Arrow 3×18 – Episode starts with Ray Palmer saving Felicity from being shot, but is shot himself. Felicity stays with Ray in the hospital and helps him recover.
The Flash 1×18 – Ray and Felicity travel to Central City to seek assistance from S.T.A.R. labs to improve Ray’s damaged Exosuit.
If you watch Flash 1×18 before Arrow 3×18, then it kind of spoils the cliffhanger from the end of Arrow 3×17 coz you know then that Felicity is safe.
The Flash 1×18 takes place before Arrow 3×18 according to Marc Guggenheim:
However in order for everything to make sense The Flash 1×18 has to occur DURING 3×17, after Ray is cool with Oliver being the Arrow but before the final scene with the mayor.
With the problems Oliver and Roy are facing in 3×18, Felicity would not have time to leave Starling after 3×18. Also in 3×18 her relationship with Ray becomes strained but there is no sign of that in The Flash 1×18.
I just got caught up to episode 18 in both Arrow and Flash, and I think Hamsquash is right about Flash 18 taking place during Arrow 17. Makes it hard to watch it in order, though, with Arrow 17 ending in a cliff hanger.
Thanks for this list, by the way — it’s so helpful trying to get caught-up on these series!
In Arrow 2×18 Felicity talks about how “someone” get’s struck by lightning so the events in the the Flash pilot must take place just before this correct? plus this is also the same time that Iron Heights get’s fixed and reopened for prisoners Berry Visits his Father for the first time in that episode as well so that technically falls into reason that Episode A2x18 is during his 9 month coma.
Not quite. He actually gets struck by lighting a few episodes before that in Arrow s2
I can’t quite remember the details but I think the first arrow episode should go before the first flash episode.
I remember that they have a conversation over the phone in arrow 1 but Barry actually goes there after the phone which takes place in flash 1
The reason I chose to do Flash before Arrow in this instance is that the conversation between the two heroes happens at the very end of The Flash, where in Arrow it happened near the end. This gives the effect that most of the Flash happened before Arrow. That and the Flash pilot took place over a seemingly longer period of time than Arrow’s first ep of s3. Also, Flash aired the day before.
TYPO: Episodes 21, 22 and 23 of Arrow Season 3 are listed as those of Season 1
If you ever need the way to watch the Arrow and The Flash, here ya go. Oh and these shows are awesome.
Do you know anything about when Arrow: Blood Rush would fit into the chronology? I know it’s during season 2 but not sure of specifics.
Also do you think you could add in the comics as they’re also a little strange to fit in but are considered canon. Is ok if you can’t though.
Also thought I should let you know that Constantine is now considered canon to this universe as he will soon be crossing over with Arrow so I’m not really sure where they fit but the season 1 episodes are also a part of this now.
I won’t be putting them in, unfortunately, as there’s no way of knowing their placement. I HIGHLY doubt they’ll make Constantine the series a required watch. I think it’ll simply be a cameo appearance or three.
Just learnt that the first season of the new Vixen series is going to all take place before Arrow Season 3, Episode 16 – The Offer. There are going to be six episodes in total and the first episode “Pilot” is out now.
Michael wrote “Vixen series is going to all take place before Arrow Season 3, Episode 16” and you on the list take vixen after episode 16 not before. What is good order? (I don’t watch it yet).
On Wikipedia it says around episodes 15 and 16. So I put it right in the middle. It doesn’t effect either Arrow or Flash.

Vixen should be before Flash 15, as there is a character in Vixen who shouldn’t be there in your viewing order!
