I can't decide because it would have been fun to see how they behave towards each other during school time or even out side of school. BUT there again, unless the script writer and director are any good, sequels normally aren't as good as the first, and there for ruin the whole idea, totally can't decide!

I love the way the first one ended so I think that making a second would probably ruin the first one for me

Um... A sequel wouldn't have done very well I don't think. But as for my personal preference, yeah, I would like to now what happened after, but I wouldnt' like a movie about it.

No - It would've ruined the greatness of the original.

I would have watched it! The movie isn't called "A Day in Saturday School", and they all left with the same issues, just a better understanding. They could have made a whole movie about the Monday after - the princess with the criminal, the jock with the basketcase, the geek with friends (or were they?)
We'll never know :{

It's one of those movies that really doesn't need a sequel, it stands on its own. There is no need for more!

St. Elmo's Fire can almost be considered a sequel for it. Watch it and you might know what I mean.

That would have ruined everything, the movie ended the way it did for a reason. You can't have that whole essay-speech thing at the end and the come back with a sequel and just go "oh, hey, we're back again" not gonna work!

Unique movies cant have good sequels... I dont think the second try would reveal the same feelings and would be as touching as the first one... I am happy they never tried. Breakfast Club remains the example of fantastic realism I have never seen in other movies.

the movie was left in a good place, but it is hard to decide if i wanted to see what happened on monday when they went back to school or how the couples survived the differences in their cliques

I absolutely hate sequels and remakes, regardless of the movie. Nevertheless, making a sequel of this movie would just ruin it for me. I like not knowing what happened on Monday, and at least having the imagination to make up my own version. Nevertheless, a sequel might be interesting, but only to see the 'Brat Pack' together again...

No because it would've been like Grease 2. Different storyline and it would be very unentertaining so no I don't think they should of made a sequel.

I love the movie to death, but a sequel would probably just ruin it. Especially without John Hughes to write and direct it, and the original actors in it.

A sequel planned, actually, but John Hughes didn't get along with Judd Neilson, and Molly Ringwald wanted to break off from the teen genera.
