Not at all. I guessed about his wife when Mrs. Lovett was all like Toby get the old woman out! And then Oh look, she left the oven open and they're dancing around I wonder what's gonna happen. Then they actually show Toby hiding in the sewer. And of course he tosses away his blade directly towards the sewer grate. But whatever it didnt make me love the movie any less.

i knew she was his wife all along. but i didn't know that he would ever find out about it. i was suprised and kinda sad that sweeney killed his partner in crime though. i love ms. lovett.

I loved the stoy line, but didnt think he desrved to die. i know he killed people, but in a way, it kinda symbolised the sing he sung at the start, about london being full of scum, and he just got rid of the scum in a way. but, we didnt physically see him collapse and die, so maybe he survived? Sweeney Todd 2?? maybee???

i didnt get the thing about her being his wife - i thought she'd be someone really impprtant though. as for Sweeney's end, i knew he'd end up dead, but i didn't know it would be toby. I thought he'd try but that sweeney would kill him.

no, he didnt get rid of the scum - ok, so he killed beadle thingummy and the judge, but he killed random people who had never done wrong.

Sweeney todd 2 is impossible if the protagonist is dead. You know, I'm not sure if the film was based on a true story or an urban legend of london. i dont think it was true.

I guessed Lucy was the "crazy old lady" and I didn't think he'd start dancing with Mrs. Lovett, but I knew he was gonna throw her in the fire. and I was honestly waiting from him to say "Do it, lad." when Toby came up behind him. Great ending though!

I knew the beggar woman was his wife when he and Antony were singing 'Johanna'...and it was quite predictable that he was going to kill Mrs. Lovett one way or another. Not that I wanted it to end that way, of course. Didn't really see it coming when Toby killed him...I thought he'd end up killing himself because he was so miserable. Kinda forgot about Toby when he murdered poor Mrs. Lovett :(

i couldn't see that lucy=beggar women comming, probably because i was fed up with being annoyd of her presence :P
but sweeney killing mrs lovette and being killed by toby was quite easy to tell

Me and My dad totally knew that the crazy lady was Sweeney's wife becaue : #1 she looked like the wife. #2 She kept on pooping up and saying all of these things that made us believe that she was his wife like the smell. #3 She got a lot of screen play time, and i was thinking "why wouldn't a crazy old woman get that much of a role in the movie?" haha. and i was right! But i was surprised when Sweeney KILLED Mrs. Lovvett! i loved her! she was nice and in love with him! : [= oh well. And then i was surprised that the little kid killed Sweeney. and then the story ended! i mean, it was a great ending though! But i was sad that Sweeney didn't get to find out that the lady was his daughter, and that the daughter didn't know that Sweeney was her father. How sad. Oh well. i loved the movie either way!

A little bit. I was surprised when Toby popped out of the sewer and killed Sweeney. But I wasn't too surprised that he killed her. I knew she was gonna die. And my mom was yelling for half the movie about how the crazy old lady was his wife. It got annoying. lol.

I kinda had a hunch that Sweeney would end up killing Mrs. Lovett somehow or another but as much as the crazy beggar woman being Lucy, I had no clue! That was the one and only time my jaw had literally dropped!!!!! I was sooo surprised!!!

Of course, at the beginning of the movie, I'd had no idea that'd happen, but as the movie progress, I just sorta guessed the ending. I cried at the end when he was dancing with poor Nellie cuz I realized what he was doing like you, MrsLovett. Poor her. =( And just cuz of "Nothing's Gonna Harm You", I knew that when poor Nellie died, Tby'd get his revenge by Sweeney-ing Sweeney. I wonder how Toby dealt with that after the film ended...

Yes, tottally! I had no clue he was going to threw Mrs Lovett on the fire! But I think Sweeney recognized Johanna when Mrs Lovett yelled. After all, he said "Forget my face". He would never say that if he hadn't recognize her. And I never expected that Toby was going to kill Todd. Sad...

I knew the crazy lady would be his wife, but the fact that Todd was killed by Toby was a tad of a shocker. I mean, in the myth I know, he got away with it all. Maybe I've heard a really strange version, but that's how I thought the film was going to end up.

I wasn't surprised at all. 1. because I had seen the ending before the begining and 2. Because movies like that end similarly.

When he just threw her into the fire i was just like WHAT!!!! NO SWEENEY TODD NOOOOOOO! And when he was singing to the corpse i didnt expect Tobias to come out of a drain and kill sweeney.....mainly i thought sweeney would kill himself!

I was gutted when Sweeney Todd killed Mrs Lovett as i understood her reasons for keeping lucy's survival a secret, poor Mrs Lovett. The end scene grabbed my attention and i couldnt take my eyes off the screen, I was left at the end of the film in complete shock the first time i saw it! After watching it the second time round I managed to see the roar romance in this film. I now see it as more of a sad romantic tale of revenge and love than an insane serial killer rampaging london. :)

I never thought that Lucy will be killed by Sweeney. Ok, he didn't know that the old woman was her wife. But he should have stopped slashing throats after he finished off Judge Turpin. His mission was already complete. Such a missed opportunity for Sweeney to get up close with Lucy and Johanna.

I thought i'd never be able to see the movie, so I ended up looking it up on Wikipedia, and finding out the ending before I ever saw the movie :(

yes the end completly took me by surpise! How how could sweeney kill nells and even if he did how could sweet little toby kill mr.T i mean it's clear he didn't like him but out of all the characters i thought he was sane.Also we never found out about johanna and antony though they weren't the main characters but they kind of left that piont out. I was SO sure that Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd were going to marry, or at least be together for a pretty long time. But that wasn't true... And I was sad about the fact that Johnny died, I hate him dying in movies, it makes me so sad :).

No. I knew deep down the beggar woman had to be important just didn't know how. It wasn't until she asked if she knew Sweeney that it clicked in my brain that it was Lucy this whole time. And since Mrs. Lovett knew Lucy was really alive....No brainer Sweeney would kill her too. But what really did surprise me is when Toby wound up being the one to kill Sweeney but that was the only thing.
