^I agree. and about the car accident in 2x01, not only did the accident contribute to the coma, but also the fact that YED started to rip open his chest in that cabin, and that was pretty brutal too!!

I know! Everytime I see him hanging in Hell I cry =( I hate seeing him in pain. And wait! We didn't even consider any of his deaths from "Mystery Spot", the piano was pretty bad lmao.

Dean has definitely had the most brutal death sense so far!
Like you said RiceCakes, pretty much all of the deaths in MS were fairly brutal (the piano Mauled by a golden retriever, shot with an arrow by the waitress none were very pleasant!) But before that to be basically ripped apart by YED and then again by the hell hounds (*spoiler* and then for that torture to continue in Hell!*spoiler*) Dean has had it pretty bad!!!
I think Mary's death would have to come 2nd!

Dude John also died when YED snapped his neck! But yeh i think burning to death and getting attacked by the hell hounds are pretty much even!

Being ripped apart by hellhounds is by far the most brutal death. Followed by Mary's death, being ripped open and thrown up on a ceiling and then burned? Although I think she was dead by the time the fire started. I hope.
And I agree with everybody, Dean always gets the short end of the stick! He not only gets killed in awful, painful ways- he also just seems to get hurt a lot too. Electrocution in Faith? He almost died there. YED John torturing him in Devil's Trap. Possessed Sam beat the crap out of him in BUABS. And that whole thing with the djinn in WIAWSNB? Poor guy looked almost dead hanging there. (still managed to save Sam's ass though, didn't he?)

Yes, Simpgirl, I agree. Jake killing Sam was by far the most shocking death on the whole show. Absolutely didn't see that coming. At all. =S

Yeah Sammy's death was probably the most surprising but all of Dean's deaths (how many people fictional or other wise can say say lol ok well maybe Buffy)were fairly to very brutal!!! And he does seem to take a lot of beatings, they all do, perks of the job I guess :(
