Despite being an anime which is a japanese animation, it contains great new ideas and stories to the storyline and not to mention never before seen supernatural creatures! It makes sense that MadHouse, the company who has created the anime, was willing to take our beloved mostrar to places it has never been and to that I say, we should be honored. Believe it o not, but it is quite a rare thing to have a TV Show, done in real-time, to become animated.
However, I was always skeptic about anime series, some are just not setting it for me, others attend to after watching a few episodes. This anime series, in particular, has a great place in my heart, anyways it isn't exact. To that, I am pleased to annouce that this is very much a "trusted" anime version of our beloved show.
To this, I'm happy to put down these mini reviews for certian episodes that I highly suggest to you:
Ghost On The Highway
An anime Orginal Episode
The story begins in New Orlands, where a empty highway along a forest is dicho to be haunted por a mysterious black Impala. When Sam and Dean arrive, they are quickly arrested due to the fan-faved duplicate Impala appearance. But, they are as quickly gotten out of jail as the police chief's little brother, Michael helps the boys on their case. Soon, they discover that a black Impala, just like their own, was used as an escape car for a bank robbery. However, the man driving the Impala wasn't the one the police were looking for, after being chased all through the highway, the man driving the Impala skidded his car into the forest area below and to this day, haunts the highway.
This episode is the type of episode I would consider for an actual supernatural episode, it is an unique idea and contains enough mystery to make a full-length episode, a fan favorite.
Till Death Do We Part
An anime Orginal Episode
The story of this one contains the urban legend of "Bloody Mary" but in a twisted kind of way. Three girls are at a slumber party, these girls of course were just playing around and decide to summon "Bloody Mary" just for fun. But, twenty years later, the girls are slowly but surely dying. Sam Winchester, who is in law school at the the time, becomes acquainted with Jessica Moore, who of course later becomes known as Sam's girlfriend. Meanwhile, Dean and John are on the case of the killings and discover that Jessica was one of the three girls. Now it is a race against time to stop the killings. Sam remains close, knowning something bad is going to happen. Jessica and Sam end up being chased around the campus por the spector but she is finally put to rest, just in the knick of time.
This episode is a great one because it gives tu a insight of what Sam was doing during school and when he meet Jessica. Of course, Brady wasn't included, but it is still worth watching. It has a great sense of happiness throughout and shows how Sam and Jessica became to be. Wouldn't that be great to know?
The Sprirt of Vegas
An anime Orginal Episode
The story of this one goes in the inicial of gambling and winning, Las Vegas. Dean is on a winning streak at the poker table. Sam, unwilling to registrarse in, rolls his eyes and mentions that they should be on a case, not gambling. But after a big night of winnings, they return to their room but just to find a mysterious coin at the elevators. Dean soon discovers that this isn't an ordinary coin, it's a cursed coin! From good luck, to bad luck, to worst luck, Dean is now on the hit lista for the coin's curse which includes its very own poverty god! Being the only one who can see it, Dean is disturbed and must get rid of the coin before he is killed por it. Luckly, he gets rid of it but well, pushing it down someones throat who deserves to die.
This episode has got to be the funniest one of the whole series. This episode highly reminds me of 'Bad día At Black Rock' but this time, it's Dean's turn. But I like the fact that it shows tu the poverty god as being a small, old man who sits on your shoulder with a disturbing laugh that kind of makes tu cringe. It also once decided to take a nap on the bed! But it is of great fun porportions and gives tu a great laugh.
Devil's Trap
The Remake of Season One Finale
The story of this one is actually quite close to the orginal one. Sam and Dean are called por a possessed Megan (Yes, she was based on Meg) who is scared and needs their help, for their father as well. They willing take the call anyways they know it's a trap. Once they arrive, they make sure to take the potro, colt with them. The building of course is in construction which contains dangerous 50 foot drops and one elevator to go up and down. Sure enough, their father is tied up and Megan attacks. They manage to get away but Dean had fired one of the three bullets of the potro, colt in order to save his brother who is dangling helplessly, his nails getting ripped off, from Megan. All three of them finally escape up the stairs to rendevuous with Bobby. But sure enough, YED sends a surprise attack through their father, Dean helplessly starts coughing blood and Sam is unsure of what to do now. John pleases for him to shot with the Colt, Sam takes awhile before he finally pulls the trigger. Now, they are in a rush to the hospital when suddenly, a little girl standing in the middle of the road appears. Sam presses on the brakes just in time but the little girl ends up throwing them mid-air and the Impala rolls down the hill.
This episode is highly based on the orginal version but I did think it was cool to have a girl flip the Impala rather than being T-Boned por a semi-truck. The effects of this episode were phenominal! And Megan seems to have died más earlier rather than later in the siguiente season, which was kind of a nice thing. But of course, she can always come back.
Others I suggest:
Moonlight
I highly rave this one because it is a closer insight to the story of Madison. This one is a remake of the tragic episode of 'Heart' when Sam falls for Madison who ends up being something he wished would never be. But the twist of her ex being "obsessive" would give tu chills. The transformation itself was más like a slower process than a right to the point, which is nice. But the best moment was when Madison and the boys wasted time por prancing around and canto to a familar tune.
In My Time Of Dying
A popular favorito! to all fans. The orginal is better but it does keep on the same storyline and also introduces the Reaper, Tessa. This is of course, as heartbreaking as the orignal was. However, it did "replace" a few minor things, like instead of a wegi board, Sam's laptop was used. But the best thing has got to be the fact that tu didn't see John die.
Rising Son
This one is very interesting because it is actually comic based episode. The comic, Rising Son was written por Peter Johnson and Rebecca Dessertine which is about a women who entered the boys' life shortly after Mary dies. In this one in particular tu see what weeSammy can really do. And not to mention the bright idea of a mechanicalized demon!
What Is And What Should Never Be
Yet another great remake which is considered a favorito! too. This one is más like a story that should of have been but could of never been. Also the return of Mary and Jessica spark what could have happened if they were alive. Seeing Dean's way of wishing his mother happy birthday por painting the roof was a sweet touch that all of us wish to have. But the fact that Carmen and Dean were actually a married couple seemed too much to handle.
All Hell Breaks Loose: Part 1 & 2
This one has got to be one of the best finales we have seen and the anime version is right on topic but probually más of a "graphic" look to it. Of course, the orginal Dean Winchester, Jensen Ackles, finally brings the best part of the series to life with voicing the character he had made famous, in both parts.
Sure, it is a whole 'nother ballgame, but it's different and unique. I say WATCH IT. If tu aren't a true anime fan, I can understand that but it is worth the wait, I guarantee :)
