Rogue One For Dummies

Remember in Attack of the Clones, Anakin tells Padme he hates sand? Nobody really understands exactly why he hates sand. Everyone thinks that it was a misceláneo statement that shouldn't have been in the movie.

But I see it differently. I see a slave boy who lived in sand all his life, finally freed of it. But his mother, still trapped in the sand, is tortured por a band of Tusken Raiders. When he tried to save her, she died in his arms with sand all around them.

Anakin definitely had a reason to hate the sand. It's quite sad not many people actually understand the reason, however.
