Entertainment weekley actually has the nerve to ask if avatar is the siguiente estrella Wars, o worse if its better than estrella Wars. How do tu feel about that. The picture shows how I feel.

Still popular today, even a new animated serie.
estrella Wars is just legendary!
tu can't just replace it por one movie, that may cost a bit más than the others but still.
Money isn't everything.
I would still like to see if avatar is still going to be so popular after 30 years.
estrella Wars will still last forever, and not only with the old generation but they're más and más young people who also amor it.

I think they ment as in the amount of groundbreakin cgi. Like... idk. For example, george lucas was the 1st person to do computer graphics on white backing. avatar will have been a first in terms of da amount of cg used in 3d. I don't think they mean in terms of how gud the film is, I've seen it and although it's good, I think estrella wars is better. That's a cool pic por the way... :-)

avatar has an element of all the epics, like estrella Wars and the Matrix, so maybe they're trying to say that it will be rank alongside estrella Wars, not replace it.

avatar was good, no doubt, but it was no estrella Wars. It could never amount to what estrella Wars has become...it's just not possible. I mean, I'm swept off my feet every single time I watch estrella Wars... with avatar I wasn't really blown away. I mean parts of it were really stunning but I wasn't caught breathless at any moment and I like a movie that can do that. estrella Wars does that eternally.

Well I guess people want to beat estrella Wars. Can't happen people, even after like 30 something years estrella Wars lives on. With prequals and a kid's TV series, will avatar have that? I doubt it. I'm am completely flabbergasted that anyone would say that. Let's just sum up my thoughts: giant blue monkey people will NEVER replace estrella Wars! EVER! Who wrote that column? While visually stunning, avatar was NOT original, especially in terms of story. Better than estrella Wars, it is not! As for it being the siguiente estrella Wars, I can't really see either, as I don't believe avatar could pull off (or have for that matter) a sequel.
