Of course, Hajime Isayama takes the chapter to another one of the series' current situations before we know just what happened to Jean, or if it was even Jean at all. Grrr... But it was a nice, thrilling scare. My two favorite characters were held at gunpoint within almost the same page in this chapter.

I'm not sure about whether I believe he would be killed off at all or not, despite that, a little while ago, I predicted that, if one of our main characters were to die soon, it would be Jean. The fact that he is Hajime Isayama's favorite character is not a sufficient argument as to whether he would kill him off or not. After the way his character has been developed, there are ways it could be made fitting, but there are also ways that would make all of that development seem pointless in the end. I really don't know. All I do know is that the possibility of him getting killed was implied.

I definitely don't WANT for him to die. D:

I can't seem to find complete versions of this chapter (last time I checked). MangaSky had only a few pages of the raw version, and they weren't exactly the best quality. The only thing I saw was minimal battle scenes between Levi and that murderer- and the images were so messy I could hardly tell what was going on.

I think he'll be fine.. I think if he were to have died, Isayama would have shown it instead of just showing blood splatter. It makes readers afraid and tense, waiting for the next chapter... and it would be upsetting to fans if after a long wait we saw he really did die. Plus Isayama has had no problem showing characters dying before like with Levi's squad.

There is also the possibility Mikasa saved him. Also, Armin is reaching into his cloak for something and it may be a gun and he also may have saved Jean. Buut.. there's still no certainty. But I'm leaning more to the 'he's okay' side. Ihope. Jean is my favourite. D:

My sweet baby Jean better be okay! I'm hoping he'll be okay.....I think he will be. I'm trying to stay positive. Jean is my favorite character and I'm desperately hoping he isn't dead.
