Because he asked her to stay, just as the beast got Belle to stay in the castle even though she didn't want to. Because she brought out a side of him even he didn't think he had. Because at first she felt imprisoned on the island (the castle) but he made it feel like home. Because the beast gave Belle a library. Because at the end the beast was this magnificent man with long blonde hair ;-) ... though, i must state i never thouht sawyer was a beast to begin with .... LOL

He's courageous and kind of rude... and she's kind, polite but brave at the same time... plus she helps him to became more mature and polite!!
