Sam Evans is amazing. And not only for his yummylicious abs (although I', certainly not complaining about that aspect,) but because he's a GENUINELY good person.
Now I agree that what Sam did with Mercedes was wrong, and that perhaps Sam in Season 2 was better than Sam currently is in Season 3, but everyone makes mistakes.
Now, the moment I started liking him was Duets (not to say I didn't like him in the first episode, but I hadn't really gotten to notice him yet, and, believe it o not, I only noticed his insane hotness factor in Duets.)
Let me start with the whole thing with Kurt. Sam seemed to be totally cool with Kurt being gay. He didn't seem weirded out at the thought of doing a duet with the gay kid, and the only reason he partnered up with Quinn instead of Kurt was because of Finn and Burt talking some sense into Kurt. He never went back on his word. I always amor a man who honors a promise, and he promised Kurt that he would do a duet with him, and he never ONCE went back on that promise (fuck you, Finn Hudson!)
Secondly, he seemed to mostrar kindness and understanding towards Quinn. I was literally all like, "Aww," when he was telling her how Valiente she was for going back to Mckinely after what she went through last year. Not only did he know she went through a teenage pregnancy, he MUST have known about the whole baby daddy drama that went on last year, as people were still gossiping about the whole triángulo, triángulo de after Quinn had dado Beth up, when Sam had arrived on the scene.
Thirdly, although his relationship with Quinn had his flaws, and it was clear they were both using each other for popularity, status, hotness, and other person gain, it was clear he was trying to make it work.
Fourthly, who doesn't amor a guy who's willing to make a promise to the right girl? When he gave Quinn the promise ring... it was just SO AWESOME! And I'm slightly biased to Faberevans too because I have a huge crush on Sam and Quinn is my favorito! character, she has been since Throwdown, when I started feeling some sympathy towards her. I figure if I can't have Sam, at least I know he's in good hands with Quinn (I miss you, Faberevans! Come back!)
And last but not least, the whole thing with Karaofsky. I amor that Sam took charge of the whole thing about Kurt and Karaofsky when Quinn asked him, how he became the ringleader, stepping up and becoming the leader and role model Finn was too scared to be, and he wasn't afraid to back down, even though he ended up with a big culo bruise.
