I looked up at my blue door, which had thousands of stickers stuck on it's back, fearing at the thought of it being my evil cousins waiting outside to play a trick on me, i slowly walked to the door and opened it.
"Hey, Chloe", dicho Miranda, my babysitter. She had a big box beautifully wrapped in a shiny paper and in the other hand, she held a white bad. My eyes jumped from the box to the cover and then to her face.
Miranda was about 26 then, I think.I thought of her to be very beautiful. She was young and had curly black hair which bounced whenever she moved her head and rosado, rosa lips with cheeks that looked like apples.Her eyes were long and green and her voice was always soothing.
"What is it Miranda?" I asked her, Trying to pretend that i didn't knew she came there to wish me Happy Birthday.
She closed the door behind her and knelt down and looked at me with a beautiful smile on her face.She placed the box and the kit on the floor and hugged me saying, "Happy Birthday, my dear little dumplin'!" That's what she called me. She squeezed me in her arms and I hugged her too.
"Oh thank you, thank tu so much!" dicho I, in my little voice shaking, I was a little sensitive.
And then she stood up and took the box and gave it to me saying, "Here tu go."
I took the box, which was almost my size and ran to my cama to keep it there, along with my muñecas and toys. I came back to her and she held my hand in hers and the kit in her other hand. She walked to my little table, where i had my breakfast and places the kit there. She took a box out of it and opened it.It was a big delicious looking cake! She snapped her finger and a beautiful cuchillo decorated with ribbons and a plate appeared.I looked at all this amazed.
"Miranda!" Called a rather sharp voice.
I looked up and saw "Queen" Stepheny standing at the door, wearing a velvet vestido and heavy make up. Behind her fluffy vestido stood Lydia, her daughter, who was older than me por two years.
"What did i tell tu about going to her room" without my permission? She yelled.
"I- I", dicho poor Miranda, frightened. "But it's her birthday tu highness."
"Oh, it's her birthday?" dicho Stephany. "I'll give her the gift, tu get out of here!"
Miranda Obeyed. She looked back at me and moved her lips. I didn't understand what she said
After Miranda had left, Stepheny came near me. Afraid that she might do something, i moved slowly to behind the table, looking up at her in fear.
"And for you", she said, "Here is tu gift. She pointed her forefinger at the cake and at once it turned into ash. She left with Lydia behind her, her eyes shining with happiness and mine with tears."
