Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
A Shocking Return! – Resurrection – Season 2 Episode 1 – “A Second Chance”
When we left season one of Resurrection we were watching those that had passed on coming back, by the hundreds. It began with one young boy, Jacob, but now it has become so much bigger.
Season two begins with agent Bellamy awakening, much like Jacob did, in a field of tall grass. He remembers the black vehicles showing up and men pulling Jacob out of his arms. He races back into town and remembers all the returned at the school getting ready to be taken away. He heads to the Langston’s.
When he gets there he tells Henry and Lucy that they took Jacob until he hears his name and sees Jacob standing there. Once they calm Bellamy down he begins to remember what happened to him. He says they took him to an interrogation room and gave him a shot of something. The next thing he remembers is waking up on the side of the road in the field.
Henry tells him that when they asked where he was, the authorities had told them that he was unstable.  Bellamy asks how Jacob got back home and Henry explains that the authorities brought him back. People from Arcadia were allowed to stay, but all the other returned were taken away. Bellamy also asks about Maggie and Henry tells him that they questioned her for hours and then let her go. Lucy says she thinks they are being monitored.
Lucy shows Bellamy a newspaper and he asks if the date on the paper is correct. It seems that he has been out for over a week. He contacts his supervisor, Toni, who seems surprised to hear from him and asks if he really is agent Marty Bellamy. He hangs up when he realizes something is not right. Jacob comes out to talk to him and Bellamy seems to have a pain in his chest. Jacob asks if he is alright and he says yes, but we know something is off here.
Maggie is doing an ultrasound on Rachel’s baby and everything looks normal. Tom is right by her side and they decide to find out the gender of the baby; it is a boy. Maggie says the baby looks closer to four months rather than twelve weeks and Maggie tells Rachel she really should see an actual OB/GYN, but Rachel refuses.
It seems Maggie is not talking to her father as her receptionist tells her that he has called again.  Just then Maggie sees Bellamy and she examines him to see if he is okay. She tells Bellamy that Dr. Ward went back to Maryland. She also tells him that they tried to look for him. She explains that there is nothing wrong with his heart.
Bellamy tells her that he is now going to try and figure out who this agency is and what they want. Maggie tells him that she has his stuff and welcomes him to stay at her place until he can figure out his next move. He welcomes her assistance.
It seems Sherriff Langston is not a popular figure in the community anymore. It also seems he has been hitting the bottle to drown his woes.
Later that evening Bellamy and Maggie are finishing up dinner and getting to know each other better. Maggie gets a phone call for Bellamy and it is Toni. She has answers for him but she needs him to meet her in Chicago and she will explain everything.
Jacob is awoken in the middle of the night and he heads to the cemetery where he goes to the Langston tomb. There he sees a woman. This woman is his grandmother, Margaret Langston. The next morning Jacob is eating cereal when Henry notices a woman outside. He goes to investigate and he is shocked to see his mother.
Fred corners Maggie and confronts her on why she is mad at him. She is mad that he brought the Army in to take away her mother, Jacob, and the other returned ones. Bellamy walks in on the confrontation and Fred goes after him. Maggie stops them and her and Bellamy leave.
Henry talks with his mother and asks what she remembers. She says she remembers a feeling of letting go and then she woke up in the woods, walked to the cemetery, and then saw Jacob. She explains that Jacob told her about the Army taking people away. She asks when she can see Fred, and Henry explains that it is complicated. Henry tells her that Fred thinks the returned are dangerous, but he agrees to call him and let him know about her.
Bellamy heads to Chicago to meet Toni. Fred gets a call from Henry telling him that their mother is back. He says it is not her and hangs up. Margaret is upset with Fred’s reaction.
Elaine gives Fred a ride home and they end up going to the old factory, throwing rocks at the windows. They seem to be unloading their troubles by taking to one another. Fred, who is highly intoxicated, makes a move on her and apologizes. She takes him home.
In Chicago, Bellamy is waiting on Toni who has not shown up to meet him. He approaches the bar to get a drink when the bartender motions to the end of the bar. There Bellamy sees a woman who he remembers seeing in the interrogation room and a man with her. They come toward him and he takes off.
Margaret is playing with Jacob when she asks him how he found her. He told her about his ability to feel those that return. She tells him that he shouldn’t tell anyone else that he can do that because people might not understand. Henry approaches and tells Jacob to go inside. He tells his mother not to worry about Fred because he will come around. She doesn’t think so. She explains that Fred has always been angry, ever since she chose Henry to take over the family business. Henry tells her that she is wrong, Fred does love her.
Bellamy finds Toni and confronts her and has another attack in his chest. Toni explains that they told her that he was unstable. Bellamy explains that it is all lies. Bellamy can tell that she is a dead end.
Fred is looking at a picture of himself and his wife when he picks up his gun, and we know what he is about to do. Just then the door opens and it is his mother. He says it is not her and she slaps him. She takes the gun from him and tells him that it is going to be okay. He sobs in her embrace.
Bellamy calls Maggie and tells her what happened in Chicago. He is at his home packing his stuff up when he hears a noise and tells Maggie he will call her back. He checks it out and sees the same woman he saw at the bar. She claims she just wants to talk.
She explains that she is there to make him an offer. She tells Bellamy that the returned are safe for now but she won’t tell him where. She goes on to explain that he has a certain expertise on the returned and they trust him in Arcadia. She basically wants him to be a spy for them. He will go back to Arcadia and keep them updated on the situation there. Bellamy is hesitant but she warns that if he refuses she will just put him with the rest of them.
Bellamy doesn’t understand what she means by that, but then he remembers something. He remembers that when they were interrogating him he fought for a man’s gun when he was suddenly shot. He realizes that he died and returned! He is one of the returned now!
This is a crazy plot twist as this mystery deepens. If this is any indication of what this season of Resurrection has in store for us then it is going to be a wild ride! Tune in next week and don’t miss a moment!
