TNARR Episode Four: Night of the Eagle (Part 1)

Prologue-

The caped vigilante and his armored counterpart flew through the sky above the majestic city of New York.

Red Revenge's costume looked much the same as it had half a century ago. Several key differences could be noted though. For one, the suit was más of a man-bot than fabric covering a human body. The tech was very expensive. That included the invisibility camouflage and the rocket pack that was attached to the suit, not to mention all the gear inside the utility cinturón, correa and pouches.

Vendicta looked entirely different than her predecessor had. She was a beautiful girl, but no one could see that. Her body was locked away in an iron-suit. The suit looked like a female robot, colored purple and pink. She lacked a cape o utility belt, but had all the weapons and devices she needed locked away in the actual body shell.

The city had changed much in seventy years. The air was filled with sleek, floating hover cars whose drivers were constantly yelling at the heroes to get out of the road. The heroes however, had an appointment with someone. And the appointment was very important.

Landing on the floating hover-pad, the heroes crept along the muro until they found the proper window. Jumping up, they crawled through the force-field and into the office of Mayor Walker.

The Mayor was an aging woman, in her late sixties with white hair, glasses, and a hidden medicine valve pumping antioxidants into her body. Over all the mayor looked to be a woman at the peak of her health, even if she was dying of cancer.

"Bryan." she greeted, continuing to put libros on the shelf without looking back at the Black Hero's arrival.

"Mrs. Walker." the teen vigilante replied.

"I assume you're here about that new criminal?"

"Yes ma'am." Revenge replied.

Mayor Walker sighed. "What do tu need to know?" she asked.

"Everything." Revenge replied, hitting a button on his wrist. His casco división, split down the middle and slid to either side revealing a young face, almost seventeen with dark blonde hair and dark blue eyes. "And that includes the original Red Revenge: Mr. Grant."

Mayor Walker sighed and sat down. She pressed a button on her escritorio and a muro panel opened revealing the original Vendicta suit along with a file cabinet and other important trinkets.

"Everytime I see that, I want to throw it out because of all the pain that came with it, but then I want to keep it again." Ms. Walker sighed

"Please, ma'am, this is urgent." Bryan replied. Vendicta walked up beside him and pulled her casco off revealing shining brown-black hair that clung wildly to her face and intense silver eyes that shone in the dim light of the room.

"I understand." Walker said, taking a deep breath before facing the two teens. "Okay: Sam had been having off days. Ones where his head just wasn't in the game...

"...This was one of those days."

Revenge threw the criminal into the muro and heard a satisfying groan of pain.

Nightbird grinned and started to walk out, but Revenge stopped her. He picked something up from one of the criminals before grappling through the roof.

Nightbird opened the doors and yelled at Draxx to come collect his revenue o something before joining Revenge on the roof.

"What is it?" she asked.

Revenge pulled a red-black feather out of his utility cinturón, correa and looked at it for a moment before jumping off the building and landing on his motorbike, speeding away.

"He should've known that was a sign." Ms. Walker said. "But he didn't want to believe."

"Test it." Revenge said, tossing a pouch from his utility cinturón, correa at Sarah as he walked into the base, tossing a chaqueta on over his suit.

"Nothing like a--" Sarah cut herself short when she opened the pouch. "--please."

"Will someone explain what the heck is so strange about a red and black bird feather?" acebo asked as she too changed into a civilian uniform.

"Nothing." Sam and Sarah dicho at the same time.

"Yeah right." acebo said.

Sam headed out towards his other motorbike, the one he, not Red Revenge, owned and sped off. acebo plopped down on the sofá and turned on the television. After a few moments she turned to Sarah, who was busy running tests on the feather.

"Do tu ever get lonely?" acebo asked.

"What?" Sarah asked.

"Do tu ever get lonely, cooped up in this building, unable to mostrar your face to the public?" acebo asked again.

Sarah looked at her for a moment before nodding and turning back to her work. "A little." she replied.

"You've been cooped up in this house for two months." acebo said, laying length-wise on the sofá to face Sarah. "I'd be dying to get out if I had been stuck somewhere for two months."

"You are adventurous, daring, brave, and unable to sit still." Sarah said. "I'm más of a sit in one place type of person."

"So its in your nature to wanna be cooped up like this?" acebo asked.

"Yeah," Sarah replied.

"Why is this important?" Bryan asked.

"Because I know tu kids. If I started with her explaining Eagle's story then you'd ask how they got on that topic and the one before it. It's better this way." Ms. Walker snapped.

Vendicta sighed and adjusted her position on the sofá to be a little más comfortable.

"You are exactly like me when I was your age, Natalia." Ms.Walker said.

"Supervillain threatening to destroy the world?" Ryan asked.

"Yes, back to the story." Ms. Walker said.

"Sarah turned back to her work and was about to be startled." Ms. Walker continued.

Sarah lifted up the feather and placed it under a scanner. Immediately computers started to beep and make various noises while different mages and artículos appeared on the computer.

"Sam, get down here!" Sarah voiced into her dagger and shut the computers off.

acebo was on her feet. "What?" she asked. "What is it?"

"Nothing." Sarah dicho quickly. The computer immediately began making various noises again. Sarah yanked the plug and the computer died with a whine.

"Now tu have to tell me for nothing could be worse than my suspicions." acebo said,

"It's probably best Sam tell you." Sarah said.

As if on cue, the Black Hero screeched to a halt in the garaje and he jumped off.

"What?" he asked. "What is it?"

"That's what I asked!" acebo exclaimed. "Sarah dicho it was best if tu told me. You're all actuación as if some guy came back from the dead!"

At this, Sarah looked at her feet and Sam's feature's hardened.

"No." Sam dicho simply at a look from Sarah and sped off.

Act Two:

Natalia blew some of her brown-black hair out of her silver eyes and sat up on the couch. Bryan continued to pace the room. Neither had removed más of their costume than their mask. They were becoming más and más anxious as the time passed. Mayor Walker however seemed at ease.

"How can tu be so calm?!" Bryan exclaimed. "The world is about to end!"

"I grew up in these situations." the Mayor replied.

"Well I don't have that much patience!" Bryan replied.

"Bryan..." Natalia said, sitting up.

"Don't tell me to calm down! The survival of the world is on my shoulders and this old woman won't give me a straight answer! She's trying to tell me some old story!"

"The 'story' is important." Ms. Walker replied. "Just listen."

Red Revenge sped down the street, weaving back and forth between cars in the New York City traffic. He followed the trail he had picked up with his heat sensors and was following it out of the city.

It took him a minuto to realize towards whom he was riding. Screeching to a halt, he looked around. The heat trail went straight up through the foggy road ahead.

Deciding to hit whatever got in his way, he gunned his bike and sped right down the road. Sure enough, he was halfway through when a man on a horse ran out into the road. His head was covered por a realistic calabaza mask from which he yelled at the young "rascal" to stop.

Revenge screeched his bike to a halt and leaped off before it had slowed down. He tackled Horseman to the ground and dragged him up por his collar.

"WHERE?!" he demanded.

Horseman looked at the young figure whose identity was hidden por a mask. He shrugged his shoulders before responding.

"You shall have to be más specific about whom o what thou art searching for." he stated.

"No más games!" Revenge yelled, ripping his mask off with one hand while keeping the other on his throat, hoisting him a foot off the ground. "Where's the boy in feathers?!"

"Funny tu should ask that," Horseman said. "I remember yonder a año hace that tu came asking that about another person..."

Revenge hoisted him even further off the ground. "Where. Is. He?!"

"Who dicho it was a different person?" Horseman replied.

There was a moment of tense silence before Revenge dragged Horseman through the field of pumpkins.

"What art thou doing now young rascal?" Horseman asked.

Revenge yanked a scarecrow down from his perca and tied Horseman to the post the doll had been on.

"You've got about five segundos to spill your guts o I'll make sure tu don't get out of North Penitentiary for a year." Revenge growled.

Horseman remained silent.

Revenge delivered a strong kick to Horseman's leg. The snap could be heard throughout the field.

"Go look in a tree!" Horseman exclaimed, wincing in pain.

The other leg went before Revenge grew tired of interrogation.

"The gas in this dagger makes tu go crazy. It's also toxic. I'm the only one who has the antidote. Spill." Revenge growed, waving a dagger in front of the villain.

"I've already told tu where." Horseman stated.

Revenge slipped a mask on over his face and detonated the dagger, planting it beside Horseman.

"Warned you." he said. Hopping back on his bike, Revenge sped off, following his trail.

Natalia raised an eyebrow at Red Revenge's interrogation of Horseman.

"A little extreme?" she asked with a slight accent someone had yet to place.

"He was the Black Hero." Ms. Walker replied. "He didn't get that name for his costume."

"Please contine." Brian replied impatiently.

"I could use a cup of coffee." Ms. Walker said. "Would tu be a darling and get me some please?"

Brian sighed and rolled his eyes before leaving the room.

"He can be a little..."

"...Impatient?" Natalia asked, finishing Ms. Walker's sentence for her.

"Yes." Ms. Wallker said. "He probably will like the siguiente part of the story. Much más action."

Act Three:

Brian walked back in with the cup of cup of coffee. He handed it to Ms. Walker and resumed his pacing.

"Brian, if tu don't sit down, I'm not continuing the story." Ms. Walker said.

Brian opened his mouth to say something, but a quick kick to the back of his knee por Natalia shut him up. He slowly sat down siguiente to her.

Ms. Walker grinned slightly at the sight of the two sitting siguiente to one another.

"Now," she said, folding her hands in her lap. "While Revenge, the Revenge," she added at a look from Brian. "Was after our boy in feathers, Sarah was explaining about his past to Holly."

"After Vendicta left early in '13, Revenge worked solo for a while until a new villainess appeared. Her name was Nightingale. About the same time, someone else appeared in the neighborhood. Called himself Eagle. His costume was a skin-tight silver body suit. His arms and legs were black along with the sides and back of his uniform. A red eagle was stamped on his chest. His mask was very similar to your's except it was red. What appeared to be large bird wings of red and black attached from his arms to his back."

"He came to Red Revenge for help and was quickly granted access to the base and everyone's secret identities. He and Revenge went out to find Nightingale and bring her in because she was becoming a real pain in everyone's backside."

Revenge looked around his mother's office in Grant Tower cautiously. Someone had signaled him with a secret signal he used. He knew it was a trap, and was trying to outsmart the assailant.

Feet came from the roof and landed on his back, flattening him to the floor. Revenge stood up and saw something swish around a corner. He followed.

"So what happened?" acebo asked, sitting on the table.

"They went after her." Sarah replied.

Revenge ran down the hallway. He turned a corner and tripped. Looking back, it was a stupid move. He should've seen the tripwire rigged to all the grenades. Smoke filled the hallway.

"They went to the lowest part of town. They found Nightingale and fought her. She revealed she was Ryan's sister and managed to escape. Ryan vowed never to let it happen again."

Invisible fists hit Red Revenge. He tasted blood and tried desperately to fight back, but his already pre-occupied mind couldn't handle everything that was going on at once.

"They managed to arrest her and haul her off to North Penitentiary. About a mes later, the two headed to stop some diabolical plan Reaper had set up."

Revenge tossed down his own grenades and stepped back, turning on his infrared goggles. The assailant was still invisible to him. A strong uppercut sent him flying into the wall.

"When they got there, Ryan and Sam did their best to stop Reaper. They did, but not before Reaper got one of them." Sarah sighed and sat down. "He killed Ryan. Revenge naturally put Reaper in a body cast for a year, but that didn't stop the pain."

"So Revenge's former partner is dead?" acebo asked.

"Was." Sarah corrected. "At least, that's what Sam believes."

"And you?" acebo asked.

Revenge staggered up, but collapsed to his knees. He looked up at the smoky shadows where the assailant was standing.

"Come out and mostrar me who tu are." he growled in a scratchy voice.

A voice laughed before replying. "We both know who tu are, Samuel Grant."

Revenge pulled his mask off and coughed blood onto the ground.

"And who are you?" he growled again.

"Take a guess..." the assailant responded, stepping out of the shadows.

He was dressed in a skin-tight silver body suit. His arms and legs were black along with the sides and back of his uniform. A red eagle was stamped on his chest. His mask was very similar to Nightbird's except it was red. What appeared to be large bird wings of red and black attached from his arms to his back. He grinned and pulled off his mask revealing a Hispanic face with a devilish grin.

"Hello, Sam! I'm back!" he said.

"Ryan." Revenge stuttered.
