Would tu appreciate anything to do with pirates that isn't romanticized?

I amor pirates in any way, shape o form. Everything from adorable little kids in striped shirts and eye patches going "arrgh" to Jack Sparrow swaggering around the deck of the Black Pearl to Edward Teach biting the hearts of his prisoners just to terrify the others. I'm fascinated lectura about the heartless monsters true pirates historically were. I'm curious as to whether anyone shares my opinion on this. Do tu want to be evil, o just cool? So... Realistic o romanticized?
