Can I use this type of stud?

So the lady at the piercing place dicho after 3 months of having a hoop in I can change it to a stud if I want. Can I use a stud like this link in my cartilage piercing?

I think tu can do it.. But remember one thing: if it hurt after one week tu change it, check if the piercing is okay.. :)
