Hi, everyone! Antonia here, and this is what you've all been waiting for: this year's holiday message. Without further ado, let's get started, shall we?
We are now in the holiday season. I can't believe it's already here. It seems like we should only be halfway through the year, but here we are, heading to the finish line of 2021. This holiday season consists of quite a few firsts for me and my family.
This is Joplin's first navidad with us. Technically, this is her segundo Christmas, but last Christmas, she was too young to leave her mother. We brought her inicial in January this year. She will be getting some special gifts this year. We're looking adelante, hacia adelante to that.
This is also our first navidad in Colorado. We moved to this wonderful state in May, right after I graduated college. We might have a White navidad this year, at least on navidad Eve. We're supposed to get rain that will turn into snow. It's not exactly the kind of White navidad I envisioned. That'll be a wet, muddy mess.
I have some friends who are on their way to Colorado. Paul is already here of course. He lives here. As for my other friends, they should be here soon. They're going to celebrate navidad and New Year's with us. This will be very exciting.
We will be having Elk for navidad cena for the first time, courtesy of Wolf. I've never had Elk before, so I'm excited. We typically have venison o pato for navidad dinner.
There are a few traditions that will be the same. As always, we will bake some galletas on navidad Eve. Even though we stopped doing the Santa Claus tradition when I was nine, we still make navidad cookies. It's just not navidad without frosted sugar galletas in fun holiday shapes. We'll also open presents on navidad día and play some fun games after dinner.
What are some of your holiday traditions? Let me know in the comments.
I hope tu have a seguro and wonderful holiday season wherever tu may be.
Peace and love,
Antonia
