With their navidad album complete and such a big hit, and with their shopping complete, the members of New Religion were finally ready to finish decorating their house in Oak Ridge. Being so busy, they had only managed to get out their navidad árbol and decorate it. Erin and Lola finished decorating the inside of the house. Paul and Carl decorated the yard. One day, one of their neighbors asked them, "Why don't tu put lights on your house?" Carl said, "Well, there's a danger in that." Paul said, "We tried that once when we first moved here, and I fell off the roof." The neighbor said, "Oh, no. I hope tu weren't hurt at all." He said, "No, I wasn't hurt. I landed in one of the bushes, so I had a soft landing. I was lucky." The neighbor said, "You certainly were." When Paul and Carl went back inside, Erin and Lola were putting the presents under the tree. Paul saw a package that had his name on it. He picked it up and said, "I wonder what's in here." Lola said, "You can't open it until Christmas, silly!" He said, "I know." Erin had baked some homemade gingerbread cookies. She got them out of the horno and said, "Have a gingerbread cookie while they're fresh out of the oven, my friends." Everyone had a cookie, and they enjoyed the warmth. Paul said, "I've never had a cookie fresh out of the oven. My mother never let me eat them until they were cooled completely. They're better warm." Hours passed, and New Religion called it a night. The siguiente morning, all of the members were awake except for Paul. Carl said, "It's Christmas. I think we better wake him up." Erin said, "I'll wake him up." She went into his bedroom and started shaking him. She shouted, "Paul! Wake up! It's Christmas!" He stretched and opened his eyes. "So it is," he remarked. He got up, and everyone went to the living room to open their gifts they got each other. Everyone got exactly what they wanted. After they opened their gifts, Paul looked out the window and said, "Look! It's snowing!" Carl said, "You're right." Lola said, "It looks like we're going to have a white navidad after all." With that, they ate their breakfast and took the perros outside to play in the snow.

During the 4th of July celebration in Oak Ridge, the members of New Religion decided to take Klondike out with them to get him used to noise and crowds. Lots of people stopped them and asked to pet Klondike. He was very happy getting petted. One person said, "He's a beautiful dog. What kind of dog is he?" Erin said, "He is a cruzar, cruz between a German Shepherd and a Siberian Husky." Another person asked, "How old is he?" Paul replied, "He will be three months old later this month." Klondike enjoyed all the attention he was getting. He didn't seem to mind the noises during the parade. That night, he wasn't even bothered por the fireworks. Carl said, "I think he's mascot material. He doesn't have a problem with crowds o noises." Lola said, "Yeah. He will do well when he starts touring with us." The members of New Religion knew that they got the perfect dog to be their new mascot when Fritz retires. Klondike will have big shoes to fill, but he'll certainly fill them.

The siguiente day, Leila and Greeley took Paul for a walk on the playa while Leila's aunt and uncle relaxed on the beach. Greeley said, "I can't believe today is our last día here." Leila said, "I know. Vacations always go por so quickly." He said, "Let's make the most of the time we have." She said, "Yes." That evening, they had a seafood meal. They then began packing for their things so that they would be ready for their trip back home. Greeley dicho to Leila, "Thank tu for inviting me to go on vacation with you, Leila." She said, "You're welcome, Greeley." He said, "We'll have to do some más fun things this summer." She said, "Yeah. That would be great." They settled into their beds to rest for the trip the siguiente morning.
The siguiente day, Greeley accompanied Leila and her aunt and uncle on a ride to the nearest beach. Leila's uncle drove. Leila's dog, Paul, enjoyed looking out the window at the sights. When they stopped for lunch, Leila took Paul out on a leash to "do his business". A few people stopped Leila and asked her, "What kind of dog is that?" Most people didn't believe her when she told them that Paul is a purebred German Shepherd Dog. Leila didn't mind, though. She was aware that most people don't know that Shepherds can be blue, especially solid blue like Paul. Around 6:00 that evening, Leila, Greeley, Leila's aunt and uncle, and Paul arrived at the property. It was a nice playa house, and it was very pet friendly. They were all tired from their trip. After unpacking, they got cena and relaxed for the rest of the evening. A few hours later, they called it a night.
Leila and Greeley had just finished their first año of college. They were looking adelante, hacia adelante to the summer. Greeley asked, "What are tu going to do this summer, Leila?" She said, "I'm mostly going to relax and take it easy. What are tu going to do?" He said, "I think I'll do the same, but we should do some fun things this summer. After all, summer doesn't last forever." She said, "You're right. We should do some fun things together." He said, "I'd like that." Later, Leila texted Greeley and said, "My aunt and uncle and I are going to the playa this weekend. They dicho that I can bring one friend with me. I first asked Rita, but she can't come, because she's taking summer classes as well as taking on a summer job. Would tu like to come with us, Greeley?" He said, "I'd amor to, Leila." She said, "Great!" He asked, "Is your dog, Paul, going too?" She said, "Of course he is." The two friends were looking adelante, hacia adelante to their weekend getaway.
