One day, Jane and Paula went hiking after school. Jane brought her dog, Shiloh, along. At one point, Paula tripped and fell. As she went down, a horrible cracking sound was heard. Jane thought, Oh, no! That didn't sound good! She knelt down beside of her friend and asked, "Are tu okay, Paula?" Paula said, "I think so." She tried to get up, but she was unable to. Jane said, "Let me help you." Jane helped Paula up. Paula was unable to walk. Jane said, "You're hurt." Paula said, "I think something happened to my ankle. I can't put pressure on it." Jane said, "You probably sprained it. I'll go find help." Paula said, "Don't leave me!" Jane said, "All right. I won't leave you." Jane carried Paula and found Paula's parents. They took Paula to the hospital. Jane went inicial and waited anxiously for any news. Hours later, Jane received a call. It was Paula. Jane asked, "How is your ankle?" Paula said, "It was just a mild sprain. The doctor dicho that I should be able to walk on it in a few days." Jane said, "That's great. I'm glad it's not a severe sprain." The siguiente day, Jane went to visit Paula. Jane brought her guitarra with her and played a song she made up. She said, "Get well soon, o I'll make up another song!" Paula laughed and said, "Thanks for the song! How did tu know I could use a laugh?" Jane said, "Intuition among friends." Paula's ankle healed completely, and all was well once again.

Paul's Special Friend
I first met Erin through Allie. From the sad look in her eyes, I knew that Erin needed a friend. As we got to know each other, she opened up about losing her best friend, Barry. She said, "My poor excuse of a grandfather shot Barry. I offered to get help for him, but he wouldn't let me leave him. I guess he didn't want to die alone." I hugged her and said, "I'm sorry. I know what pain you're going through. I lost my best friend, too. For the longest time, I blamed myself, because Alice and I were playing in the river. It was my insistence. I miss her sometimes, but I'm okay." Erin and I became really close as time passed. She was even passionate about música like I was. There was once when we got into a big argument, but our friendship was stronger, and we've remained best friends ever since. One day, when we were in high school, we put our heads together, and we decided to start a band. Of course, the challenge was finding other members.
