It was a Saturday morning. Janis was resting comfortably in her bed. Stevie and Juneau roused her up, ready to go for their Saturday morning walk. She got dressed, ate breakfast, and took her perros for a walk. Simon accompanied her with his dog, Timber. Timber was a German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. Her father was half German Shepherd and half Siberian Husky, and her mother was a purebred Siberian Husky. As they walked the neighborhood, Janis said, "Shadow really loved to walk the neighborhood." Simon said, "He did. I remember that this lamppost was his favorito! place to mark." She said, "That's right. It was. He also delighted in scaring away the neighborhood gatos that frightened tu so." The two friends laughed. Simon said, "Oh, he was quite a dog." After they made it back home, Janis said, "It was nice to talk about these memories of Shadow." Simon said, "Yes, it was. tu know, I remember how gentle he was with my first dog, Winkle." Winkle was a Dachshund and a very spirited dog, but that's another story. Janis smiled. She said, "Yes, I remember that." Later, when Janis talked with Kelsey, Kelsey said, "My favorito! memory of Shadow is when he protected me from that nasty neighbor's little dog when that monster bit me in the face." Janis said, "I remember that. He got that little bastard of a dog to back off, despite the fact that he was a perrito, cachorro then." Kelsey said, "He was a great dog." Janis said, "He was." Later, Janis and her parents talked about some of their favorito! memories of Shadow. At some moments, they laughed. At others, they cried. Ultimately, those memories were ones to be treasured.

When Grace went into her house, her aunt and uncle were waiting on her. Her aunt asked, "Did tu have a good day, dear?" Grace said, "Yes. I just found out that for the coming school year, I could double up and graduate early." Her uncle said, "Really?" She said, "Yes, and I'm considering it." Her aunt asked, "Grace, are tu sure tu want to do this?" Grace said, "Yeah." Her uncle said, "Eleventh grade is going to be your hardest año academically. If tu combine tu twelfth grade año along with it, that might make it even harder." She said, "I'm willing to face the challenge." Her aunt said,...

Grace was just finishing her segundo año of high school. She enjoyed the experience for the most part. Although some of her friends had moved away within the last year, she still had a few good friends left. Later, she learned that for her third año of high school, she could double up and graduate early. She dicho to herself, "It might not be such a bad idea." Later, she talked with her friend, Michael. She said, "I'm thinking about doubling up for the coming school year." He asked, "Why would tu want to do that?" I said, "Well, I get to graduate early if I do." He said, "The eleventh grade...

It was time to start school once again. I would be starting the seventh grade. After school, I immediately went jogging with my puppy, Redford and my friend, Brian. Unfortunately, Brian scared me at one point. He dicho to me, "Aubrey, we need to stop." I asked, "Why? What's wrong?" He said, "I feel light-headed." He then collapsed at my feet in a dead faint. Redford and I stayed close to Brian. I was prepared to let Redford off the lead to find help. Fortunately, after about thirty seconds, Brian came to. He asked, "What just happened?" I said, "You fainted. Are tu okay?" He said, "I don't...

One day, I went jogging with my dog, Redford. As we were jogging, I tripped and fell. As I fell, my ankle made a horrible cracking sound. It sound like the snapping of a árbol branch breaking. I didn't try to get up at first. As I was lying there, Redford licked my face. I was still holding the lead, and he didn't offer to slip out of his collar and run off. I only had Redford for a few weeks, and he was already strongly bonded to me. I tried to get up, but my ankle was really hurting. Reluctantly, I let Redford off of the lead and said, "Go get help!" He took off. I sat there and held my throbbing...

I went on the Internet and found a dog breed selector. It had a series of preguntas regarding what I was looking for in a dog. The final results led me to a breed. It was the Siberian Husky, simply called Siberian o Husky. I read about it, and I really liked the description. I talked with my parents about it. One day, I heard my parents talking. My father said, "Aubrey has been wishing she had a jogging companion." My mother said, "Yes, and the Siberian Husky is good for that." One morning, my parents woke me up. They said, "Come on. We're going on a trip." I asked, "Where are we going?" My...

One day, I almost picked up a pair of scissors to cut myself with. My father hid the pocket cuchillo from me. I then saw my guitar. As I was strumming, a few words began to pop into my head. I got a notebook I wasn't using otherwise and a pen, and I wrote some words down. They were very sad, but they seemed to give me some comfort. Just then, my mother came into my bedroom and said, "Aubrey, your friends are here." I came downstairs, and my friends Chelsea, Sam, and Brian were standing at the door. I said, "Hi, guys. What brings your here?" Chelsea said, "We're going to the mall. My mother is...

In the months after Jim's untimely death, I remained very sad. Jim and I used to enjoy jogging together. I still enjoyed jogging, but it got lonely doing it alone. None of my other friends were interested in that. The bullying really picked up. My remaining friends would stand up for me, but that didn't stop the bullies from bullying me. Sometimes they would beat me. Many times, I would pretend I needed to use the restroom so that I could be alone to cry. One day, when I was sitting at home, I saw a pocket knife. I honestly don't know what I was thinking, if I was thinking at all, but I began...

Jim and I were two kids growing up in the foothills of North Carolina. We were the best of friends. We did everything together. We even had numerous inside jokes. We very seldom disagreed. When we did, it was always over something stupid. In the end, we would always make up and laugh about how ridiculous we were. Jim and I loved each other in a way that only best friends could. We even had the same birthday. We never thought that we would ever separate, but one day, we did. One day, when we were only twelve, we were riding the bus to go home. Suddenly, the bus slipped on a patch of ice. The...

The members of New Religion went out of town to spend some time with their families. On the last día of doing so, they spent some time at a shopping mall. Suddenly, gunshots were heard, and everyone was scattered about. The members of New Religion and their families suddenly got separated in the chaos. Erin and her brother, Daniel, managed to find an emergency exit. Paul managed to find a storage room to hide in. Carl and his family soon found a way out. Lola's family managed to escape, but Lola got shot. She proceeded to lie on the floor, pretending to be dead. The pain was intense, but she...

The members of New Religion went to the recording studio to record a humorous song that Erin had written. Lola said, "I admire that tu were able to keep your humor, despite being injured." Erin said, "Sometimes bad things happen, and there's nothing tu can do about it." Paul said, "That's true. I feel silly for suggesting we leave Miami." Carl said, "Don't feel silly, Paul. Oak Ridge is safer in terms of crime. Besides, no place is one hundred percent safe." Erin said, "Carl's right. Living in fear of bad things happening is the worst way to live. If you're living that way, you're really...

The members of New Religion went to the airport to fly to Oak Ridge. The perros had to ride in crates in a different compartment. The flight went smoothly. The only problem was that one of Paul's perros howled the entire time. If anyone asked, he denied ownership. Everyone made it to Oak Ridge all right. Once they arrived at their new home, Erin, Paul, Carl, and Lola unpacked their things and settled in. That night, they instantly went to bed. They were exhausted from their trip. The siguiente morning, Paul was the first one up. He decided to fix breakfast for everyone. While he was making breakfast,...

While Carl looked for seguro towns in the United States, Paul decided that it would be good for him to get out of the house. Paul, Erin, and Lola went out for lunch at a local restaurant. Things were going really well. Suddenly, a former employee came busting through the door. He was not happy about the fact he had been fired, and he held the building at gunpoint. "What do we do now?" Erin whispered. Lola whispered back, "I don't know." Paul whispered, "I have an idea. We'll leave our tips and sneak out the back." While the former employee was confronting the manager, Erin, Lola, and Paul left...

Lola said, "I don't think anything can possibly go wrong tonight." Carl nodded in agreement. Just then, Nunavut started growling. "What? Are tu jealous now?" Paul remarked. Just then, a scream was heard. Paul grabbed Nunavut's lead and clipped it to the collar. Carl followed Paul out the door and...

It was the summer of 2017. This summer was a little sad, but it also had happy points. Early in the summer, I was sitting in my bedroom. I heard the doorbell ring, and I heard my uncle say "I'll get it." I then heard an unfamiliar voice say "Would tu be willing to take this puppy? My son doesn't want her. I intended for her to be a gift for his tenth birthday, but he threw her against the wall. He probably broke her leg." My uncle said, "And tu didn't take her to the vet?!" The unfamiliar voice said, "No." My uncle said, "You know what, I'll gladly take this perrito, cachorro from you! Now, get off of...

When I started the eleventh grade in August 2016, I was still grieving over Millie. One day, I had a talk with the guidance counselor at my school. I told her, "If I had known Millie was going to die, I would have been más patient with her. There were times I lost my temper with her and just lashed out at her." The guidance counselor put her hand on my shoulder. She said, "Autumn, that's not what Millie remembers. In fact, she told me about all the times tu and Glenn stood up to bullies for her." I felt better after that talk. I later met Glenn in the hall, and we walked to the lunchroom...

The summer of 2016 started out rather badly. One day, my aunt and uncle and I visited with my paternal grandparents. As we were heading back home, we noticed these two idiots racing each other in their trucks. My uncle tried to avoid them, but there was nowhere he could go to avoid them. They hit the car and drove off without any regard for what they had done. We all got out to see the damage. My aunt said, "It looks pretty bad. I'm glad everyone's all right." She then noticed me staggering. She said, "Autumn, you're hurt." I was taken to the hospital, covered in blood. I had several cuts and...

It was August 2015. My friends and I started the tenth grade, our segundo año of high school. The school año was mostly good. When Glenn turned seventeen, I came to his birthday party. After the party, he said, "I want to tell tu that I amor you." I said, "I amor you, too, Glenn." We hugged. Unfortunately, there were some bad points in the year. In the Spring, I lost my first dog, Diesel. I woke up one morning, and all my perros were at my bedroom door except Diesel. It wasn't like him to go off por himself, so I decided to see if he was okay. I found him lying in the living room. He wasn't...

It was the summer of 2015. One day, Glenn came to me in a state of excitement. He said, "I have some really good news!" I said, "Oh, my. What is it, Glenn." He said, "My parents got tickets for them and for me to see Motorhead!" I said, "Glenn, that's wonderful!" He said, "Yeah. It really is." On the día he was supposed to leave, he came up to me crying. "Glenn, are tu okay?" I asked. "What's wrong?" He said, "My grandfather just died." I hugged my dear friend and said, "I'm so sorry, Glenn." Later, I insisted on flying to Liverpool with him and his parents. His mother asked, "Are tu sure...

Pretty soon, it was time to start school again. My friends and I were starting the ninth grade, our first año of high school. Glenn and I were particularly nervous. One day, some bullies surrounded Glenn. The ring leader asked, "What's up with the cheesy accent?" He said, "I'm from Liverpool, England." The ring leader said, "Oh, you're from the town of those insects. That explains your trashy haircut. tu should be beaten for that!" I said, "Don't tu dare beat my friend! The summer of 2014 was perhaps one of the most touching summers in the eighteen years of my life. I decided that it was time for me to admit to Glenn that I used to practice self-harm. I said, "Glenn, I think it's time tu know the truth about my scars." He asked, "What's the truth?" I said, "Before we met, I was a constant target for bullying." He said, "I know you've been bullied, but I don't think tu told me the details." I said, "Well, the bullies would often abuse me verbally and physically. To cope, I would take a pocket knife, and I cut." This made Glenn cry. He said, "I'm so sorry....
