Even though it is Christmas, things have not exactly been jolly for us. A few weeks ago, our navidad lights had burned our house down. My aunt and uncle escaped unharmed, but I got trapped. I saw a firefighter coming to my rescue, and before I fell unconscious, I said, "Please help me." When I woke up, I was in the hospital. The doctor said, "It's good that you're awake now." I asked if my aunt and uncle were okay. The doctor said, "They're fine. They're in the waiting room right now. tu gave them quite a scare, young lady." I said, "I'm not going to die, am I?" He said, "No, you're going to be fine. tu have some bad burns, but tu should recover. We're going to keep tu overnight for observation." When my aunt and uncle came in, my aunt said, "Grace! Thank goodness you're okay!" My uncle said, "That was scary. I've lost my sister. That would be your mother. To lose tu would've been too much." I said, "But I'm alive. Be glad for that." He said, "I am glad. siguiente time, I'll make sure to check our navidad lights." Just then, I heard a knock on the door. I said, "Come in." John came in with Peter. I said, "Hi, John and Peter! What are tu guys doing here?" John said, "We were watching the 6:00 news, and we heard what happened." Peter said, "John was determined to make sure tu were okay. I told him that I would go with him." I said, "That's very sweet. Thanks, guys!" John said, "We talked with Allen, Stan, and Lenny, and we agreed that the money we make from our navidad album will go to rebuilding your house." My aunt said, "Thank you, John!" He said, "You're my family. I'd do anything for family." My aunt and uncle and I are staying with my grandparents for the time being. It's going to take a while to repair our house. I lost my journal, my CD's, and my instruments in the fire. My grandmother got me a new journal. Some other family members replaced all of my CD's. My great aunt sent some new clothing. John even gave me one of his guitars and one of his saxophones. He said, "I want tu to have them, Grace." I said, "John, I can't take them." He said, "Grace, I have so many. I'm a rock star, remember?" I said, "Yes. Thank tu so much, John!" He said, "You're welcome."
