Pacific Rim could have easily been your generic 'Robot vs. Giant monster' summer schlockfest. It could have turned out like transformers o Terminator: Salvation. It did not. It is por far the best summer movie of reciente memory. Basically, think this; Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gundam, the whole genre of Japanese giant monster movies, a genius filmmaker, and put all that into a blender. Today we're cancelling the apocalypse. Pacific Rim baby.
