I don't see why they all want him. He has treated every single one of them like dirt at some point and still they all love him.

I don't get how he thought that Brooke was an option for him. He and her ended it in season 3 and she made no hints that they where anything other than friends but he still seemed to think - as did Haley - that he would have the option of choosing her!

Peyton wanted to be with him and so, obviously did Lindsey but Brooke never even hinted and he still acted like if he wanted to he could choose her and she would come running back to him.

Obvioulsy, as a leyton fan i am happy they are together, but part of me is pissed that Peyton came back to him when he snapped his fingers. It's like he just assumed that any one of them would fall over themselves to come running back to him!

I didn't really notice, but i know there has been certain points in the show where he is a complete ass to each of them. I guess everything he's been through with each of the girls led him to being with Peyton in the end which is good because they wanted to be together since the beginning. :)

I wondered why for a little while, but it didn't take me long to realize why. You guys act like he's a bad guy. Yes, he was an amazing butt in 112-116 & in 507,17,& some of 18. but he's been an AMAZING guy throughout the entire series. His mistakes don't erase all the good he's done. All 3 girls fell hard for him because of who he is. you don't stop loving a person when they make mistakes like luke did (now dan's a different story, heh). Anyways, it wouldn't have been smooth sailing if luke had realized he truly wanted brooke or lindsey cause they've both moved on (one after the other) & know they aren't meant to be with him. but it wasn't like all 3 girls were standing in line while luke made his choice of who was "worthy" to be with him...it was about luke vs his heart. He had hidden from it on and off for years and it was time for him to grow up and let love in - for good. and he did. yeah in 601 it sounded like luke just got to "pick" one. but I believe luke would have been prepared to fight for peyton if she didn't take him back so readily. Luke and Peyton are adults now, and they've let circumstances and themselves get in the way in the past. Like I said before, this season, they've got over themselves and gave into love.

with lucas, it's not a matter of forgiving him for a mistake or two. i used to think- ok he just screwed up in the first season, hooking up with peyton and hurting brooke, sleeping with nikki and hurting peyton....but then i realized as the seasons went on- it's his personality, not just a few of his actions. he often acts without thinking of the other person's feelings- he lies to people he loves (brooke, karen, peyton, haley, nathan...the list can go on forever), he does what he wants when it comes to girls- he goes after brooke promising not to hurt her, cheats on her, hurts peyton by being with nikki, treats anna like a second class citizen in his life, then is with brooke and tells her he's the one for her and he's in love with her, then hurts her again by lying to her about when peyton kissed him, then tells peyton she's "the one" (hmmn...sound familiar? didn't he just tell brooke that?) then acts so selfish by asking peyton to marry him and giving her an ultimatum when clearly she wasn't ready. and then being with lindsay and telling peyton the bartender guy at clothes over bros opening isn't good enough for her (clearly making sure peyton has a hard time getting over him while he dates someone else). and then kissing peyton right before he asks lindsay to marry him, then tells peyton he hates her and blames lindsay leaving on her, then the next week pretends none of it happened and asks peyton to marry him without providing any explanation for him being a jackass to her and how he could have been in love with someone else the week before and now wants to marry peyton. he plays with girls' hearts!! whether he means to or not...it doesn't matter- it's your actions that count!

he doesn't think that telling a girl you love her and that she is "the one" actually means something! and then when you tell another girl the same thing...THAT HURTS!! of course you can fall in love with several people in your life...but to tell 3 different people that they are "the one" and your "soulmate." thats ridiculous! he thinks about how nice it is in the moment, but not about how it will feel in a couple of months when he changes his mind.

HE DOESNT DESERVE ANY OF THEM!! THEY SHOULD BE THE ONES CHOOSING...NOT HIM...AND HE SHOULD BE LEFT NOT CHOSEN BY ANY OF THEM!

jemgrl he never told all 3 of them they're his soulmate. I understand where you're coming from, but luke was a headcase when it came to love. he was hiding from his heart on and off for years and finally got his head on straight for season 6. he grew up and he's not going back. I won't defend his mistakes, but I do see why he made them. I do hope Luke does account for his past mistakes, but understand that the whole ultimatum proposal thing wasn't why they broke up. cause luke did still wanna work things out. it was the book signing that screwed things up - the misunderstanding that escalated into a fiesta of conflicted hearts. anyhow, that doesn't mean luke didn't have his part in making mistakes. it doesn't excuse peyton's mistakes either.

It seems like Lucas can just tell Brooke that he loves her, and cheat on her with Peyton, for example. And some weeks (maybe days) after, he's forgiven? God, wish I had that kinda power.

i understand abs07 why you would say that now lucas has grown up and all along he was hiding his heart....but i feel like every season there is some excuse for his actions. if i am not a believer in leyton being "true love always" then why would i think this time he's being genuine. he hasn't given me a reason to think his words are genuine-- he's only given me reasons not to think that.
he told brooke she was his soul mate....he told he that he's the one guy for her and when he's on his date with rachel they discuss "destiny" and how he knows brooke is the one. if calling on destiny to explain why a girl is "the one" isn't the definition of a soul mate...i'm not sure what is.
and while i am not sure if he ever used those words for peyton or lindsey (but he probably did, i just don't pay as close attention to his words with them)....he proposed to them and planned to marry them....and i would assume that when you decide to marry one person for the rest of your life- you consider them to be your soulmate.

he's too charasmatic , too poetic in his language, and too passionate sometimes...because it makes girls fall in love with him even when they know they are just another one to add to the lucas scott black book of "soul mates"
(and i don't know if it is better or worse that when he says things to each of these girls....he believes his feelings and words are genuine...and it's not until he falls in love again with someone else that he claims he was wrong in the past)
