The three different translations I've read of ch515 say they leave the island and get pregnant...well that's self-explainatory since there's no men on the island. It says that some "return with child", in other words they return pregnant. Oda states that all the children are born girls. Since the sex of the unborn is decided at concetpion, that means that all the Kuja can concieve are females. Oda has given no hint to say differently. While you're right about Luffy's reletives being big-shots, I don't think that its Glorirosa aka Elder Nyon. Shakuyaku aka Shakky, has a better chance. Remember that that she stated that Garp was chasing her around 40 years ago before she retired from piracy? Thats a good time frame to have given birth to Dragon. To SergeantJz= I can't deny or confirm that :) Monkey is his family name and shared by his dad & grandad= Monkey D Garp Monkey D Dragon Monkey D Luffy so either Garp was born with it or took it from his wife, Oda's not indicated ANYTHING about Luffy's mom or grandmom. Some may try to say that Japanese are patricaarcy, so women take teh names of husbands but Oda has the OP world run on different rules, Some have family names while others don't, so it is possible that Oda may one day say that on some islands, husbands take teh names of wives. Unfortunately, we won't know until Oda says so.

Is just like 2-3 years old then luffy. I think Luffy's Grandmother is the old lady from the marine. One of the main caption. You always see her in the background. And when ace was about to die. she was trying to support luffy Grand Pa. She was not shock, when she saw luffy came flying down from the sky.

Lulu50000 I agree that it is a possibility. Given that all of Luffy's relatives just happen to be big-shots. And unless the Amazons are somehow UNABLE to produce a boy child, due to some medical condition passed on from Mother to Daughter, then she very well could have given birth to a boy. Or maybe the Island itself has certain air conditions or something that insure that the only children born there are women or something. But that COULD have happened, Elder Neon COULD be Luffy's Grandma. I'm guessing that she used to be quite the looker (and probably much taller) if she was the Queen. The only problem that I can find with your prediction, is: the fact that she didn't recognise Luffy. Not by appearances, but by name. Shouldn't she know what her lover's surname was? But, maybe he didn't tell her. We don't know for sure. But, then she does read the newspaper, and I'm guessing that back then, Garp was in the paper a lot. So, how could she not know, unless she didn't start reading the paper until she got old... But, it's not for us to write off one guess or another. I think that it's a very reasoned out guess. And whether it's right or wrong shouldn't matter. If it ends up being wrong, well then it's wrong. It was only a fan's guess. And if it ends up being right, wow, you've sure got some good instincts there... Anyway, I figure that Dragon's Mom has to be some kind of a criminal. Him and Luffy have to get it from somewhere, right? They obviously didn't get it from Garp. And Amazon Island, is technically an Island of criminals. Plus, if the Island had Garp on their side, that would explain why the Marines didn't attack it before they had a Shichibukai on their side. Plus, she'd have to be quite a women to be with Garp. But, it seems that when the Amazons fall in love, they tend to go all out (remember Hancock?). So, to sum it up, that's a great guess. And it would be really cool, if it was right. There would have to be a few confusions settled, for it to actually happen, but it it's a great guess and something to wonder about.

newworld1676 well it is indeed a thing that keeps u wondering. but ace's mom is defiantly out as she died giving birth to ace and luffy is 3 yrs younger than ace. Also glorirosa couldn't be be as i don't think her personality goes along with luffy, dragon, and grap's unique personality. shakky would go better plus she sort of i guess looks similar to luffy with the black short hair and all, so that could be a possibly but my guess is that oda hasn't even introduced the grandma and mother yet and is going to maybe give hints in the new world half of the story.

Zoro_marimo guys I think Nyon ba (the old lady's name) wasn't Luffy grand mom, 'cause like remember the Thiller Bark arc ?!! Mugiwara team met the others pirates who was also lost their shadows and there was a girl with pink hair and big lips whose name is Lola Ô 3Ô I think Nyon ba is Lola's Mom 'cause like you know they have the same lips = 3= and Lola said that she came from Shisekai (new world) and that her mom was a great captain also Nyon ba was a captain back then when she was young (that's what I think :D )

RamoMak Alirght i got so much to talk about. First luffy's mom is not Amazon lily The former Queen. The old lady, and for who said that she must have been better well he needs to think again cuz she was shown in one episode when the Amazon Queen talked on her child hood and she got kidnaped and believe me she was ugly as ever. Second.i dont know this exactly but i remember (BUGGY) saying (rayleigh) was luffy's uncle so luffy's mom could be (rayleigh) Sister just a thought. Third. i readed in some thread that maybe and thats maybe Gol D Roger is Monkey D Luffy if cuz they look mutch alike in act and both of them fear nothing if u recall (Roger) saying to (rayleigh) 'I WILL NOT DIE' so they suggested that Gol D Roger had some Ability to manupolait spirits or something just a thought XD let me know what u think about this :)

blackpanther666 I think it is more likely to be someone else, at least in terms of his grandmother. However his mother is a different story. I think would be better to wait and see what else is let slip in One Piece by Oda, because there's not enough conclusive evidence to say anything.
