Teen fans meet X Factor idols
AN EXCITED group of local girls got a belated navidad present when they met X Factor heartthrobs One Direction.
Cowie’s Caitlin Liddell (13), and pals Bryony Devlin (16) and Shannon Smith (13) were the envy of their friends after getting the chance to chat to teen idols Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
The rising stars, who finished third in this year’s competition, entertained festive revellers at Falkirk’s City nightclub last Monday.
Caitlin’s mum Denise dicho she and Bryony’s mum Elaine took the girls to wait for three-and-a-half hours in the cold to catch a glimpse of the boyband.
The Ochre Crescent resident said: “The girls weren’t allowed into the concierto because it was for over-18’s only so we decided to wait outside to see if we could see them when they were leaving.
“We spotted a jeep-type vehicle at the back of the club. tu could tell it was them.
“I went up to one of the bodyguards and asked if we could maybe get a foto o something at the end of the gig, seeing as we’d be waiting so long.
“He was really nice about it and shouted us over as the boys were leaving just after 11pm. Apparently they don’t normally do that but he dicho we could as there was only a few of us.
“The lads were great with the girls. They chatted for a bit, got their fotos taken and signed autographs.
“Caitlin was made up. She could hardly speak when she got her picture taken with Zayn. He’s her favourite so I’m glad he was a nice lad.
“It was cold and we waited a long time but it turned out to be a great night.”
