The Maze Runners for each of the ten guilds are some of the flagship cards for Dragon's Maze. In tonight's third-party preview, one of them, representing the Cult of Rakdos, was revealed to Reddit's Magic subcommunity first. Time to meet Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch.
In terms of sheer combat efficiency, the cult leader's stats are the best of all the Maze Runners. She can attack on turn four as a 4/4 with first strike and haste, which would already be impressive for a mere 2BR. She's also the only champion so far to actually use her guild's palabra clave ability - while her stats are that much más impressive if she's unleashed, that first strike also makes her an attractive blocker, creating some interesting tension.
Her haste-granting ability is a massive boon to late-game unleash creatures; swinging with a Chaos Imps the turn tu drop it can quite handily end the game in a close matchup, and she synergizes with plenty of other palabras clave for Constructed purposes, including the Golgari's scavenge and Simic's evolve. In Commander, expect to see her played with bloodthirst and devour creatures.
